Lillibet wrote:According to my Hubby, who is much more of a wine buff than I am, Zinfandel, which is one of his favourites, isn't technically a rose but a white as it comes from white grapes!! Don't ask, I don't know how it comes out that colour but anyway, it should be treated & white & chilled, served with chicken, fish etc. Personally I'm not that fussy & have been known to chose wine based on which one has the prettiest label.............!
Yes, it does say White Zindanfel which is what confused me rather when I took a bottle out of the box and it was rose coloured LOL!
I've popped a bottle in the fridge to chill so I can sample it a bit laterStill no news on the missing cat, Hubby is dropping leaflets asking people to check sheds etc as I type but I think we are clutching at straws.
Oh, I so hope you get some news soon, and that it's good news *hugs* ... when you say he was sick, was it in an ill-type way or just regurging food/hairball type of thing? (sorry not sure how better to describe it) and is he an elderly cat?
I know all cats are different but it's quite usual for them to actually stick close to home, or even return home if they're out and about, when "that time" comes, so please don't lose hope yet as he might just be curled up in a quiet corner somewhere feeling a bit sorry for himself. I'll keep checking in to see if there's any news on him"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

While you're waiting for the cat to return you can come and share some of the 18 bottles of wine I've just had delivered from Tesco.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Thanks Moggins, I'm a bit of a lightweight these days though, 31 weeks pregnant  so I'm limited to the odd glass here & there. Think I might need one tonight if the cat doesn't turn up by then.
He was sick several times on Sunday night, kept him in over night then he went out yesterday morning without eating his breakfast (V. unusual, normally demanding food as soon as the alarm goes off), didn't come in when it started raining but dissapered under the fence (v. Unusual, he is a fair weather cat, he usually sits just inside the cat flap frowning when it rains!) & didn't come home again which is also unusual as he normally pops in & out all day. He is 9 years old & neutered, has been quite grumpy the last few weeks but no other obvious signs of anything wrong but maybe there was something which we didn't pick up on?Post Natal Depression is the worst part of giving birth:p

Cat's are incredibly good at hiding any symptoms of illness (as are many animals otherwise they get picked off by predators in the wild) so don't beat yourself up about not noticing anything wrong with him. He's not terribly old but he is at an age where things can start going wrong (just like people in middle age) which won't necessarily show up, especially to an untrained eye, without blood tests and so forth.
They're such a worry aren't they, just like kids! My two are getting on a bit now, 12 & 13 this year, and <touch wood> appear to be in good health and have never had any major illness, but I don't know what I'd do if anything were to happen to either of them, or they got seriously ill, as I've had them both since they were born. They're mother and daughter and the remaining two of 6 generations of cats that I've owned.
I'm thinking of you and praying he comes home safely"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

LOL, I've never ordered wine from Tesco before, normally go to Bargain Booze which is only down the road but my 18 bottles only came to £32 including delivery using a e-code from this site. Works out at £1.77 a bottle, couldn't get it cheaper from anywhere else at that price. It was supposed to be 4 cases but they couldn't deliver one of them so dh has two cases and I have one
I can't drink red, gives me wicked hangovers.Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Ah well, just to confuse me even further, DS has just called to say he's coming home tonight!!!!! .... KIDS!!!!
Guess I'd better delve into the freezer and find something suitable to cook for dinner then
I'm secretly very pleased :j ... cos I was missing him loads and panicking at the thought of being left alone here all week
Oh !!!!!!, just realised that means he will want his PC back and I've got the BB live stream running on that and I can't get it back on mine cos the connection got broke "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
