TM I hope you have a hangover after last night's shenannigens! Harumph! ;)

Got the muesli - but strawberries are out of season and we only serve locally grown organic :p

Anyway... perhaps you, or somebody, could help me out. I'm wondering if there's a way to make Curry_Queen's World Famous Curry Sauce work with corned beef. I mean... are they a realistic combination?

They're the two most "must use SOON" items in my fridge so I'd like to finish them off today if I can.

Edit: I can see I'm typing way too slow again. Morning Queenie :)

Oooh, don't like the sound of curry sauce and corned beef. Maybe you could use it with an English breakfast type meal. I love corned beef sliced and fried - not that I ever really eat it.

And no hangover, cos DS2 was awake at 4.50am, in bed with me till 6 then wanting his breakfast. He's currently on his secong bowl of malty flakes having already eaten 4 weetabix between 6 and 6.30 !! That boy is going to cost me a fortune in food, so good job I found this place. He's also likely to be between 6ft4 and 6ft 7, we worked out !!

I'm not sure of the combination either, which is why I asked :)

My boy is six feet eight!!

Edit: A google on "corned beef and curry" tells me there's a music band of that name...

..and "curry and corned beef" gives me just one sensible hit but though it's mentioned there's no recipe listed.

He's just come back for a third bowl of cereal! They say measure them and then double their height, but no-one knows the age - some say 2 1/2, some say 3. So, 3rd birthday last week and he's currently 3ft 3 1/2 . Sheesh, I was only 4 ft 5 at 11, when I went to grammar school.

Squeaky - I've made corned beef casserole before ... basically layers of sliced cb, potatoes and then a stock poured over! You could perhaps try it with your curry sauce?
Alternatively, make a vegetable curry and serve the corned beef slices on the side :)

Vegetable curry YUK POO <spit> :)

Hm... if I parboil the potatoes and then do the layering in my slow cooker... few herby bits... pour on the sauce... a serving of sweetcorn... yeah... That'll do :)

Sounds like I missed a good party last night :(

Now I'm busy finding ways to use the huge shoulder of pork I bought yesterday for £6.99 and the rather over ripe mango that I must use today.

I raided the 29p section in the grocers yesterday and came back with 10 bags of assorted fruit and veg :D
Organised people are just too lazy to look for things

Moggins - I don't think even the greengrocers on the market knocks them out for that little. Well done you. I bought some fruit and veg today but called in at Netto's as I was driving past. I do know they have large heads of broccoli for 44p which is much cheaper than Tesco's value or the market. Bought some other stuff too (incl some Bailey's knock-off and some blue vodka gunk - well, if I'm detoxing from next week, might as well make it worth my while :)

    So girls, "coffee" tonight? :D
