Sun-flower seeds are great in bread-making and also HM muesli, but 2kg is rather a lot "An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"

Queenie, that is a superb idea about putting sunflower seed kernels in childrens lunch boxes. I watched Trevor McDonald a couple of weeks ago where they were changing the diet of delinquent (sorry that may no longer a politically correct term, but I cant think of any other) boys. The upshot of the programme was that the boys' behaviour changed dramatically when they added seeds to their diet (this was combined to a change to their usual diet and adding some oil suppliments).0

Hello tickle mouse. Sorry I didnt mean to sound critical. I am relatively new to the internet and you and your friend's fun confused me a little.0

It's OK h-c. First time I ventured into the Arms, it was a little daunting - you feel like an outsider, but here we're all (hopefully) friendly and we welcome anyone into the coffee shoppe (just make sure you buy a round of sticky buns, and preferably before I start de-toxing on Monday)
Oooh, found a recipe for detoxing that contains pine nuts. Sounds rather nice - Pasta with broccoli and pine nuts. Off to post it in the recipe thread (vegetarian sction)0 -
Sounds YUMMY, tm!!!! Oooh, right up my street!
hermit-crab .. sometimes, it's difficult to get into the "swing" of personalities on forums; there's no body language, nuance, tone of voice ... equally, user names can be very misleading when determining gender/age. In the main though, people here are exceedingly nice, enormously helpful, a huge blend of wit and lots of useful knowledge. The internet is a strange medium to become acquainted with at times, but you will soon learn the basic nature of personalities and you'll feel right at home

Yup, I agree with what TM said above, and it was just unfortunate that your first visit to this board was also caught up within a frivolous thread, so we've probably not made a very good impression you so far
A little humour is what makes the world go round though eh, so please don't be put off by anything we've said or done as everyone is most welcome here and it's a great place to be"An Ye Harm None, Do What Ye Will"
