My iBoost says "water Hot" all the time now and i cant get it to divert any power.
The water is not hot as i have used the hot water and i have this morning replaced the immersion heater thermostat, none of which makes any difference.
Any ideas?.

With all the diversion you've had, it sounds like Sunstroke:rotfl:
Has your immersion heater element blown?
Do you have an override you can turn the immersion on to test?16 Sanyo Hit 250s.4kWp SMA 3.8kWp inverter. SW roof. 28° pitch. Minimal shade. Nov 2011 install. Hybrid car. Ripple Kirk Hill. N.E Lincs Coast.0 -
I have replaced the element and the thermostat.
Iboost still goes straight to hot.4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.0 -

You need to check if there is any voltage at the immersion heater connecting cable. If there is a neon light at the wall socket / spur output, is it lit? Could it be a failed fuse in the plug / spur supply? Any break in the circuit between the Iboost and the immersion heater would be shown as 'water hot' on the Iboost.

I had a similar problem, and replaced the thermostat, and it still said 'water hot' .
I then discovered that the element had a cut out switch, pressed that, and all was good, perhaps a similar issue?0 -
Where would the cut out switch be?.4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.0

On my immersion, the thermostat is connected to the element via the thermal cutoff switch, It is not easily recognisable as a switch , but it makes a 'click' when pressed,0

On mine the thermostat just slides into a hole in the element, there is no connection.4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.0

I have now broken the live wire off the element post, can i solder this?.
I have found a tiny reset switch on the thermostat but it does not move?.
There is no cut out switch on the element that i can see.4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.0 -
The red reset thing on the thermostat does not move when you press it. What is supposed to happen?. Tried with a paper clip and it is solid.4kWp, South facing, 16 x phono solar panels, Solis inverter, Lincolnshire.0

In which case it sounds like the thermostat does not need resetting, it is ok.
When I said the thermostat is connected to the thermal cutoff on the element, it is wired from the themostat to the cutoff switch then to the element, it is the bit inbetween the two wires. If you google backer immersion heaters (I cant post links), you will see what I mean. What is the make of your immersion heater?0
