Amber collar to repel fleas & ticks

    look into diatomaceous earth - works wonders for killing fleas and is totally non-toxic.

    I do not routinely treat my dogs for fleas. In over 40 years of dog ownership they have only picked up fleas twice- both times when visiting houses that had a flea infestation.

    I live in tick central with wild 'craters' visiting the garden and surrounding area.

    At one time if one of my two dogs had 1 tick, the other would have 10. It seems some dogs attract them more than others.

    The long coats on retriever crosses are a magnet for them.
