Neighbour put fence in our garden

You have every right to ask them to remove it, speak with the neighbours and ask them that it has to be removed. I'd be tempted to mention that the council could get involved if they don't, just to speed up the process!0

OP said he has photo's of where the fence used to be as well as the Google Map pictures.

Maybe they meant, "I've been looking at old photos...." but from personal experience, even if they did. it doesn't mean they saw anything significant. Surely, if they had, they'd have said so.
A few years ago, I was in the same position whilst trying to help my relative prove where a fence was in the 1980s. I had pictures which included the fence, but they proved only that it was there, not exactly where it was.
For this reason, I think we should be cautious regarding the amount of evidence OP has thus far.0
