Using Credit card abroad

Not suggesting it's inferior to Clarity, but does Creation Everyday have a superior exchange rate? If Clarity is using the MasterCard daily rate, how would Creation's exchange rate be low enough to drive the significant % difference in interest on cash withdrawals that you mention?
If you meant superior interest rates, I guess that would depend on the rate you have with Clarity. Mine is at 12.95%, not materially different to the 12.9% advertised by Creation.
Is there a benefit to having both, beyond having a backup card that is equally fee-free?0 -

Indeed I meant to write interest rate. Current applications for the Clarity have an interest rate of 18.9% and up.
Since travellerboy has twice recommended people to apply for the Clarity on this thread alone, one wonders why he would not at least mention both,
Benefit? Use one for cash and the other for purchases. Pay off cash withdrawals immediately, whilst leaving purchases to be paid in the usual manner.0 -

Another point worthy of explanation is, in their T&C 5.2 _
We will charge a commission for the currency conversion at the rate in force.......
I read them....and? It highlights that the Clarity interest rate begins at 18.9%, whilst the Everyday begins at 12.9%.
As to your interpretation of the T&C...When I use my credit card abroad will I incur any charges for doing so?
There is a 2.99% foreign conversion charge per transaction. For all our Credit Cards except our Everyday Credit Card that has no fee.

I believe Travellerboy suggested to read Moneysavingexpert for their opinion, I did. They still recommend Halifax Clarity as the No.1 card for foreign travel. He is quiet correct in saying New Kid on the Block with little or no track record and MSE are asking people who have a Creation Everyday card to make comment, I wonder if you have! Who is on the crusade I wonder ?0 -

They're both being ridiculous.
Creation isn't a "new kid on the block", so there's no logical reason to be concerned that they're lying about the card. Both cards are effectively the same.0 -

No...they are not. If you could have been bothered to read my posts before writing, you would have noted that the Clarity has a higher initial interest rate.
So why would you consider me ridiculous for highlighting a card that can potentially save money?
Look to yourself.0
