Probably too late for this trip but the best card for foreign travel, purchases, ATM cash withdrawals is the HALIFAX CLARITY credit card. It has 0% charges and the conversion rate is the visa rate of the day, the best you will get. Getting cash from an ATM is the best ever, it will only cost 5.2p per day for every £100 withdrawn until you repay when you get home.0

New kid on the block, needs a track record whilst Clarity card has proven itself over many, many years. I will stick with Halifax, thanks.0 -

What kind of nonsense is this? It is a credit card, so your funds can never be at risk. So what disadvantages can you envisage?
Creation Everyday has a superior [STRIKE]exchange[/STRIKE] interest rate. So less in the way of possible interest paid on cash withdrawals. 3.3p per day as opposed to nearly 5p with the Clarity. Also the company behind it is not a new company.
Try to come up with a cogent argument.
I actually have both at my disposal. But my question still stands...why not mention both and let people decide?0 -

Suggest you read Moneysavingexpert comments on the choice between the two Credit Cards.
Another point worthy of explanation is, in their T&C 5.2 _
We will charge a commission for the currency conversion at the rate in force.......0
