Hi All,
I was issued with a two PCN's last year by P4parking. After taking advice from my friend who is a public see any I ignored these as there was no way to enforce. Now after being told by TCN that they are taking legal action through small claims court I spoke with the same friend who advised me that a case in 2015 meant that this can now be enforced through the courts. Has anyone else had this happen to them or had legal proceeding for a PCN from TNC?
Thanks

your friend knows nothing the bevis case in 2015 did not give the right to press charges
TNC are a debt collector , debt collectors cannot start court proceedings

No, you mean you just got another threatogram in the chain, surely?
And the Beavis case is not a silver bullet against ALL other cases, just makes it harder if a case does go to a hearing. We know about the Beavis case having followed it throughout and you can read umpteen hundred threads about it since 2015. It was a decision about a particular set of signs and a particular type of parking licence and resulting charge for overstaying at a particular retail park with specific landowner interests.
It is relevant because the Supreme Court is the top court in the land - and let's just say that consumer groups were very disappointed - nay, horrified - with the decision and PPCs are running riot in some cases, as predicted, citing it as if it upholds their charges too. Supreme Court Judges appeared to have no clue about the repercussions of such a terrible judgment for a despicable industry of money-grabbers and ex-clampers, whose prime intention and agenda is not parking management. That's the last thing they want. Money is the first, second, third...
And debt collector letters are not an indicator of court action - DO NOT contact debt collectors. Sit tight if this is merely TNC threatograms.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
