What are my rights to cancel flight within week of purchase?

So, just booked with BA a few days ago but chose wring airports :(

They will let me change it but I have to pay more for that even though the right airport is £270 instead of the £570 I paid. They said they can not sell me the same price as online so would mean changing my flight to the £270 one would actually cost closer to £750 in total.

Do I have any rights to cancel as only just booked?

Was bought online via their website.

Any advice appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

You normally have 24 hrs to notice any mistakes and cancel for free.

Sounds like they are cancelling your original booking and making another.

How far apart are the airports? Too far to commute?

Distance selling regulations do not apply to flights.

Neither origins nor destinations are that far apart.

Salz to Munich is 2hrs by car or train.

Can you not travel between them?

It's not that, it was choice of flights. Less than half the cost to go to Munich instead of Salzburg

That's an extraordinary mistake to make.

    Eh??

Have you looked into dirving\train from Salzb airport to Munich?

    Can't be that difficult.

Similarly LGW is not that far from LHR so no problem there really.

And Besides Salzburg is probably a better holiday destination?

As I said, it's not getting to one or the other, it's paying more than double to go to Salzburg when we should have gone to Munich then taken the train

where change fees and fare difference are used, you do not get any benefit if the new fare is lower, you would just pay the change fee (if applicable)
The change fees say they apply to 'time and date changes' so it is possible that route changes are not 'changes' so it is a cancel and rebook.
