What to do with driveway dips?

Our driveway has numerous dips and generally is quite uneven. We had it pressure washed and re-sanded today - it looks much better but it's also much easier to see where it's not in the best state of repair.
After it was washed I took a photo to show the pooling water:

There's a few more smaller dips.
What is my best option for fixing this? Can these dips be repaired or are there too many? I've had one local contractor have a quick look and his view was that the whole lot would need uplifting and a new base prepared. He also said it wasn't worth reusing the blocks as cleaning them all off would be too time consuming.
The driveway is also a bit too high as its only one course below the house DPC and built right up to the house so if it was relaid we could have it lowered.
The one person I've had out said we'd be looking at approx £3k!
I've got one more guy coming to look tomorrow but if it's going to cost that much to fix then I probably won't bother!

Thanks, I'd actually already read that (great website) but I'm concerned that the driveway is in too poor a condition to bother patch repairing it.0 -
What are you looking to achieve?
I can't see why the blocks can't be reused other than the fact he won't make a profit on the mark up of new ones.
Personally I'd patch it until you're ready to drop the level.0 -

I'd like to get rid of the worst pooling, particularly the two small patches that pool next to the house by the bay window and doorstep.0 -
Get some sand, hire a wacker and do it then.0

Your drive doesn't look too bad to me the patches could be lifted and relaid with sharp sand on the dips, I did mine myself but I couldn't say who you might get to do it for you as the job would be too small for most drive layers, maybe a handyman might consider the job?0

The 2nd picture could be hidden by placing a plant pot.3rd picture you could put a low step outside the sliding doors.
1st picture just lift the affected area and relay.0 -
Thanks for the suggestions but I think doing this myself is a bit beyond my skill level. I'd also like to try and fix the problem rather than cover it up.0

When jet washed did all the sand/rubbish get removed from those areas and get new sand.
as well as being a bit low they may not be soaking away as quick as they might.
first pick looks like the surrounding area is a bit high and soil has been migrating onto the paving might help to clear it back0 -
Yes, all the crud and weeds was removed from the gaps and all the heavy soiling and rubbish was swept and removed beforehand. The whole drive was re-sanded once dry.
Some of the plants and weeds around the border have certainly be growing over on to the driveway and whilst the worst was removed today I do intend to clear up the flower bed area!0
