No, I don't think so. There are only two places to park there. Asda's is the only place in the complex for vehicles over 1.85 metres to park. The car park is massive and never full. The other car park there is Brighton Marina Multi Storey car park but it does not seem to be really policed at all and I can't find out who operates it. It's a much looser operation there with a 4 hour limit but I don't think anyone checks. No cameras etc in that one.

Ooh, my neck of the woods - Seagulls! :)

You can't use the Asda car park to go for a meal without risking a PCN (because you are meant to pay £1 and then reclaim it at the Asda till and then not overstay). But to be fair, the other car park (multi storey) stinks of wee! Not a nice choice but free of PCNs but as you say, restricted height.

The template is NOT the one you looked at. You want the blue writing one starting:

''I challenge this 'PCN' as keeper of the car''

And you just put that in and the other details and if Smart have a choice of who you are, DO NOT say driver, say registered keeper.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

ok without knowing the site , the Brighton Marina Multi Storey car park is the designated car park for people using the marina , however within the complex is a supermarket with its own car park , this is for asda customers (they pay rates etc on the car park)

therefore you as a non asda customer decided to park on an asda carpark for 3hrs 20 mins , not only as a non customer , but as a person that overstayed

Asda's is the only place in the complex for vehicles over 1.85 metres to park.

is that height width or length ? , that figure would not even allow a 1965 fiat 500 to park.

in this case you seem to have taken the *iss as a non asda customer ,

your only appeal to them , asda or POPLa can only be made using untruths or withholding info

pay up and be more sensible where you park next time

Or get a vehicle below 1.85 metres in height? We spend plenty of money in that particular Asda through the year. I really don't know/remember if/what was spent there that particular day, it would have been cash. The £1 ticket system went a year or two ago.

Sorry to jump on this thread, I'm in the same position as the OP but as my car is leased, the lease company has sent them my details...

Does this mean I can still appeal ?

    driving around is not parking

although you should start a new topic ,

!; time being captured entering and leaving by an ANPR camera is not the same time as you were PARKED

2: the bpa (and IPC) codes of conduct state that there is a "grace period" upon entering the site <ANPR camera time> to actually decide to drive off , pay to park or accept their free offer of parking

the same 2 trade assosiations also say there is a GRACE period , to pack your bags put your makup on , have a kiss n cuddle or whatever between the time of paid / free time (the grace period) grace periods x2 + paid time or free time to leave the site (hello exit ANPR camera)

13 mins does not come close to the 2 x grace periods

If both are about Smart Parking (private) PCNs (and I know the OP's case is because I know the car park) both posters here need to stop getting tied up with detail and JUST SUBMIT THE TEMPLATE APPEAL.

Read the NEWBIES FAQS thread already linked by pappa golf. Lease cars are covered, Scottish cases are different, the NEWBIES thread tells you what to do.

100% success v Smart and I do not see that changing right now.
