Vegbox £10.45. Shouldn't be any spends now until middle of next week for the monthly supermarket shop. List is written for that and will check prices online over the weekend.

  • Hi, hope everyone is good. Had a couple of spends, £14ish in Aldi and £2.30 in Tesco, leaving £10 odd 'till end of month. I am really stocked up, hoping for a record August.

    Declaring at £100.91:j:j:j

Not quite under the £100 as I'd hoped as I had some free time today and the weather was miserable so I spent the afternoon batch cooking which required onions:D
So chuffed. It's my best month ever and it was wholly down to using my freezer for leftovers and for cooking extra. It's saved me loads of cooking and loads of money. Definitely sticking with it:)
We are away for almost the whole of August and I will be using my holiday budget for that. The odd days here and there when we are at home will be using up hm freezer ready meals.
See you all in September and thank you so much for all the brilliant ideas:A

Got my plan drawn up for August so we stay on track! Well stocked up with some items so won't need to buy them at all next month.

Managed to sneakily save some pennies by filling up empty bottles of the other half's beloved branded drinks with a much cheaper alternative, mwhahaha!

£184.27 this month and I'm not planning to go shopping again until Monday so I am quite pleased.
Three lots of visitors next month so not sure I can keep to a budget.

Woo hoo I have done it, been religious in only buying what we needed this month and helped immensely that I am off the booze! :j
Came in under budget by £50.17. Really proud that I have reigned in the top up shops too!
Updated my signature, see you all in August, good luck to those yet to complete.

Happy Birthday for when it's your birthday AlwaysHungry (if that makes sense, :rotfl: ) and I too love the end of month accounting I get to do. I am the sort of person who has a spreadsheet for everything admin based.

I just want to say thank you all once again for your great advice and daily updates. I can't believe it that I managed to get the budget to just under £5 over budget compared to the last 2 months £40+

I am already posting on the August thread as my food months run from the 27th-26th so hope to see you all there.

I need to cut my food budgets by £17 for each month of the rest of the year in order to be under budget at the end of the year due to overspending. I think it may not happen immediately but will definitely be more likely to succeed because of these threads.

    Evening all

Spent £3.99 in F Foods on 18 x toilet rolls.

Butcher's bill today of £47.22, but that comes out of my bulk buy fund.

Am running a bit close to empty on this atm, and this month's budget also going to be tight as still have a shop at Al*i to do for weekly stuff. I am going to have to try to have a couple of 'cheaper' months now to get funds back into bulk buy fund.

Hope you all have a super weekend
