Spend while away of 22.31 taking me to a total of £291.96. While away I mostly bought items for picnic from Aldi and had a great time eating outdoors with the kids. My month ends tomorrow so was well under my target. I thought I would really struggle to make under 400. Have learnt so much this month and can't believe I used to waste so much. Back home now and hopefully will be able to survive on the cupboards and 8.04 under the 300 mark. Will be well chuffed. Next month aiming for £250. Thanks to everyone for their tips!October 2016 Grocery Challenge £76.11/250/

Ended the month ( I run from the 27th-26th) at £189.65, so £4.65 over actual budget and £24.65 over my goal budget.
However the last two months previous had been at least £30 over budget, so this, my first time on this challenge, proves how much it works.
I have big plans for the August Grocery Challenge. Should be able to get it under control.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020

Final Week
Pay day !! I actually really enjoy all of the accounting activities I do when I get paid each month :T
So all in all this month was great, I managed to save quite a lot of money, paid a big church into my credit card debt and generally tamed my daily spending. Saying that, sadly, I am £66.97 over my groceries budget this month. Looking at my spending I did not spend so much on the actually groceries but managed to splash out £79.82 on stuff for BBQs, £35.39 on lunch at work (this is not even going out for lunch with colleagues or friends) and £29.09 on household items. Learning to really stick to the planned budget is harder than I thought but not giving up on this :A
In August I am away on holiday for 18 days (have a separate budget for that) so the remaining days I am in London I will give myself £50 for groceries. I HOPE it is doable in those 12-days I will be around (OH will have to pull in his weight much more whilst visiting me…after all it is my birthday in few days) :bdaycake:
Finally, I have made £200 payment towards my debts. I recently took a reduction in number of days I am working which cut my salary by a bit, but I will try to cut back on as much as I can in the next 6 months to be able to pay around £500 per month towards my debt reduction in order to get this cleared.
Thank you all and good luck next month :rotfl:GC May £0/£150

Decided to keep going with July until the 1st August as that's what my does so did a shop of £27.71 in Ald* and £9.25 for GF baking and cereal in Wrose. Takes my total to £328.92 for July. Hopefully no more grocery spends until August. I did start late this month and had done a shop without the plan so will have more control next month.October 2016 Grocery Challenge £76.11/250/
