I really wouldn't bother with paying it off daily. We are talking about an interest rate of about 3p per £100 per day.
The ATM fees are one of the biggest pains in Thailand but are avoidable as long as you plan carefully. Don't wait until midnight until you run out of cash. The Thai banks make a huge amount out of foreign tourists from these fees so I can't see them dropping them.0 -
Foreign purchases have the same interest free period as purchases made in the UK. It's only cash withdrawals that accrue (minimal) daily interest right away. So no need to waste holiday time with online banking to save a few pence.Saltydog2128 wrote: »Also using the credit card in store to pay for items? Try £4.50 in Argentina. Last time I was in Thailand you could withdraw without any fees, I'm pretty sure.
How do you use a Clarity card to withdraw ovre the counter?
Not to mention the five dollar fee in Cambodia, unless you go to Maybank.
Evidently it is a while since you were last in Thailand. I think the only bank that gives fee-free withdrawals there now is Citibank.0 -

How do you think?
You hand it to the teller, together with your passport and tell them how much.
Argentine ATM fee is around the same as Thailand. The equivalent of 200 to 210 baht. Will keep that in mind if I visit.0
