Thanks for starting us off today gers.
It's a bit driech looking here but dry so that's good as i want to walk to work today.

Post office did not go as planned yesterday so hopefully I'll get it all sorted today.

I have a half day at work today and then it's off to MrL for the shopping. I decided to use up what I have in already this week and I have managed to make a meal plan for the whole week out of what's there, so my shopping should be around £25-£30.

I just realised the time so I better scoot have a lovely holiday JackieO and hope you all have a great day x

    Morning All

I slept in! I did wake up just after 6, then 7 and finally at 8.20. I could actually have stayed in bed this moring, most unlike me. Hopefully it means I can stay up a bit longer tonight as I have mistakenly booked a Tesc0 delivery between 10 and 11pm!

tru - Sorry to hear Mr tru has been upset, perhaps he has got it all out of his system now? Clever Scampi, he's a quick learner.
HH - Any news from SS?
Gers - Enjoy your breakfast, it's my favourite meal to have out.
    Have a great holiday JackieO.

The weather here is quite bright, high cloud so I will put the towels in the machine when I've had a shower. Not going too far till later so I can keep an eye on them outside.

I've stripped a wall of wallpaper in the kitchen but fear that it will be like all the other walls in the house and they will have to be stripped of all plaster and re-done.

Have a good Friday. Take care. XX
  • Good Morning everyone, dull and wet here today and destined to become duller and wetter with possibly some thunderstorms later in the day. He Who Knows is in the greenhouse and I'm about to tackle the ironing, washing is done and up in the utility room and the house is tidied, dusted and vacuumed. We'll finish the carrot soup I made earlier in the week for our lunch today and I'm making creamy garlic mushroom pasta for supper this evening, looking forward to that, it's yummy!

    JACKIE have a smashing holiday!

GERS hope your cold has decided to go away, horrid things colds!

REDRUBY so pleased that Evie is getting over her problems

Have yourselves a nice day and stay dry if you can, Lyn xxx.

    Morning all,

((((Hugs)))) Tru for being so patient with Mr Tru. I will be in the same boat tonight when Mr Judi comes home. All i will hear all weekend is moans about work and immigrants. Its so hard to keep a positive attitude when all you are faced with is negativity.

Just bits and pieces to do in the house today, plus the ritualistic vacuuming. I need to dodge the showers as i need to go to the post office at some point.

My 3 monthly supply of medication will be here sometime today too.

Redruby, glad Evie is getting better. I had a scare on Tuesday when Millie dog fell down the stairs. Blind panic took over but she bounced back. Not bad for a 10 year old dog! Usually the stair gates are shut but since she always follows me up the stairs and not in front there was very little i could do.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

  • Morning (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Its dull and wet here this morning, so OH is a prisoner, I have done the Friday clean including moving the settee to shove the dyson behind it, and the kitchen floor so he is not in the kitchen doing his jigsaw on his mat on the kitchen table. We fell heir to a proper puzzle board some years ago, its very useful, he can fold it up and keep the bits he has done safe.

Before it started to rain he went out and took pictures of the tupils coming up in the back. Our neighbour came round the other day, could not believe the change in the back garden. He was the chap who strimmed and mowed it before we came in. Its almost a year since we first saw the advert. Its been quite an eventful year.

Starting to pull stuff together for next week, we will have lunch at home on Friday and then travel on, its only a couple of hours drive to Felixstowe from here, should be there in time for tea.

What ever was wrong with my breathing appears to have cleared, I walked fine yesterday from the car to the market no problems......I have heard from the Patient Liasion Service, I put in a complaint re the time it was taking for my tests appointments to come through. Still waiting to hear if they have managed to sort things out.

Right getting towards lunch time, better go and sort something out.

    Afternoon.

Breakfast with my friends was lovely and chatty. Then I took them to Tollcross and stayed a wee while. Saw lots of people from my working life, that was a little strange as I left that whole world behind when I 'retired'. However, everyone was so pleased to see me again that it all turned out fine. I didn't stay to watch any swimming but will go back later next week when the IPC (para-Olympic) trials are on.

Shopping in town was a washout, JL had neither of the two items I wanted so I didn't buy anything. I walked down to the bottom end of town to see something for one of my nephews, walked past it three times.

I've had my lettuce and chicken wraps and am ready for a snooze now. The rest of today I'll spend reading.

Hello . Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Wet and cold here and even snow showers forecast for overnight ! Went to town for a few bits from Aldi and it was so busy everywhere. All charity shops looked in but no bargains. Did treat myself to a toast in Waitrose to go with my free tea. Just waiting for the hungry teens to arrive home from school.
