Jackie O I believe that everyone needs nattering and pottering time. It sounds wonderful. Although due to using a walking stick I always potter despite being 46. Shugbrough is now fully open to National Trust members as before you could only have free entry to the hall. This Saturday is Music and Motors event in Leek as well as antique market.

Been out for lunch today using my "Happy Cash " fund . An idea borrowed from Jackie O. Have a safe journey and lovely holiday.

Made it to Glasgow without too much trouble except heavy traffic on the second half past Loch Lomond. First half had hardly any traffic at all.

I've brought Mum both my D*son and GT*ch handheld vacuums so she can try them. Me thinks they are both a bit heavy for her but will be happy if she use one of them. She's deep into clearing out paperwork, some of which goes back to her childhood in war torn Berlin. I wish she wouldn't read it all as she gets upset.

Judi - I feel for you. Your post made me think about my Mum and how I will feel when she passes. At 88 years she's in fairly good nick still but getting frail and forgetful more and more. Mind you, she's just asked me for a selfie stick for her phone! The mind boggles.

To the newbies - this is a really supportive board with very caring people in it.

Think I've got a slight fever so it's back to the paracetamol for me, haven't taken any since last night so I'll be OK with it.

I'm delighted about the Old Firm match but won't be going into the city centre when it's on. I shall remain in the genteel west end.

Tea will be lettuce wraps, brought them with me. :j

I have worked out the rounte so hopefully barring hold ups we should be there mid-afternoon, I have also been told that the Pugin church at Cheadle is well worth a look at

    Evening all,

I,ve had a busy day today, got loads of washing out on the line, cleaned and steamed the kitchen including floors, polished the lounge, ran Dyson through and managed to do a lot of DH's tax paperwork.

Chiropractors yesterday was amazing, and all my 'bits' are now back where they should be :D

Hope your all well and been lucky enough to see some sunshine x
