Good morning everyone :hello:
It's a bright and sunny morning here today, so much so that I have the blinds drawn. Hubby and the girls have left the house and I am being reasonably productive by making a bolognese bake for lunch as I have a friend coming over. She is a bit scatty so I am not 100% she will get here but I am sure the girls will demolish any leftovers when they come back home from school.
All my new yarn and patterns came yesterday so I can't wait to start knitting some up. I am going to be making some baby clothes as well as toys for a change. The house is fairly tidy still so I just have to wash my throw, tablecloths and teatowels. I may try and catch 40 winks as well before she comes as I am so tired.
Well I hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx0 -
Happy Thursday everyone.
Hester - The boat show should be fun. Love an exhibition like those.
FurryBeast - That's frustrating. Any exercise is better than no exercise is what I always say.
Tru - Glad Scampi was behaved. Sounds like a lovely walk, for both of you. I always feel so refreshed after a nice long walk.
red ruby - Hope you don't have to pass on anything too tasty.
JackieO - Thoughts are with you.
Yesterday was a great day. Firstly, I get a call from a guy I know who managed to get me 4 tickets for the Old Firm on Sunday! My friends are over the moon. Tickets are like hens teeth.
After collecting the tickets I went to the driving range and hit 100 balls. My game is slightly improving. I've a works golf day on the 21st and I feel very nervous about it for some reason.
Tonight I'll see another of my pals for a chilled out night. In the meantime, work, work work.

Well, I went to gym. 0745 bus. 1st class isn't until 0915 and the one I was a reserve for was at 1005. Did 40 min treadmill run. Hadn't heard anything so went for shower at 0900 cancelling out of both clases. A space did come up but I went and got photos done for my new driving licence and picked up some YS turkey mince and reduced Cobbler and Trout.
At least I did the run. Must do better tomorrow!
Speky well done on the tickets. Must remember they are playing as traffic will be a nightmare.
Lunch beckons.Goals - Weight loss 6/26lb at 22nd Jan 18Mmmm. 26lb at 1/7/18. Oops:o0 -
Oh GGrrrrrrrrrrrrrr I hate this new page, give us the old one back please......
We decided to go to Bingham this morning instead of tomorrow, there is a market on Thursday!! Brilliant. So we can kill 3 birds with one stone, Library, market and Aldi and all without having to pay for parking!! Got to be good.
There was a plant person selling veg plants so OH got cabbage and brussel plants, I got a pot of 20 sweet peas, which will have to go in before we go on holiday, we grow them in a big pot up a wigwam, so we can move the pot around to fill in when needs be.
Note for diary, go to Bingham on a Thursday!! It started off a dull morning, but the sun is trying to get through, little peeps and then it disappears again.0 -
Youngest dd is staying over for a few days so have just roasted a chicken which cah be turned into chicken and healthy chips, chicken salad, a pasta dish or else a mild curry.
Bedroom is nearly finished as far as painting goes and I ordered a nice pair of bedside tables which should arrive next week. Still need to think about carpet and curtains but it is looking much better already. Living room has had the ceiling painted and can't wait to see how the wall colour turns out.
Hester
Would love to be a fly on the wall when they read the e mail.
Front and back doors are open and I am freezing so having a cup of tea and putting heating on once painter has gone.

Hester nice wording in your email – do let us know what sort of response you get; honestly they really should be ashamed of themselves. I agree with csarina - next step should be the local paper.
Jackie Davey will know you're thinking of him – visiting a bit later on will likely be more helpful, at present he has family rallying round, but later, when he's trying to really get to grips with Sandra not being there, he'll be glad of the support; try to enjoy your break, you deserve it. xIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0 -
Morning all,
firstly a great big welcome to our newest recruits mothershipa and Cafekate. Will look forward to finding out more about your life in the posts ahead.
Also a big thank you for all your good wishes and thoughts since my bereavement . They have been such a comfort to me.
Yesterday was a bad day for me, thats why i didnt post. Monday wasnt too bad cause i kept myself busy by getting into the housework, Tuesday was much the same but yesterday it was just me and my thoughts and my thoughts overtook the rational side of me. I didnt sleep well but today, although i am tired, i feel so much better mentally.
I miss my Mum, i miss the girls who looked after her, i miss the routine i had (even when i didnt feel like going). However, i was blessed last night and this morning when the girls from the home sought me out and started to add me to their friends list on Facebook. They have supported me though a lot over the last 2 years and i was sad that the door had closed after the death of my Mother.
Back to today. The first day back of childcare for my Grandson whilst his Mummy is at work. I think its been about a month since i saw him last and he bounded through the door, so pleased to see me. That has cheered me no end... apart from when i told him it was bed time and he ran off and hid, refusing to come out of his hidey hole.
All sorted now.
Roll on bedtime.

Indeed I echo Judi on this , our 'virtual' friends on here are lovely, and so supportive when things go badly wrong.
Thank you everyone for all your kind thoughts and good wishes
Love to you all

Afternoon all
Thank you for your comments, I'd put money on their response being a thunderous silence, but we will see.
