Most economic options for fuel.

Hi there, I'm looking at buying a property but it is listed as having LPG gas central heating which I believe is one of the more expensive forms of heating.

I am considering turning the over to oil. There is a large rear garden so there would be enough room to have the tank far enough from the house, but I guess I would need a new boiler and piping too. Would anyone have any experience of how much this conversion might cost?

Also I was looking at ASHP... would this mean replacing all the plumbing/pipework ect in the house or would it simply replace the existing boiler. I believe there are grants available for these too?

Any advice/experience would be much appreciated. :beer:
