You're going to be handing over a lot of money - the buyers should be willing to let you visit again.
Completely agree. I'd always visit 3 times as a minimum; the third time with someone also well-versed in building and structural matters who won't mind offending me!
If I hadn't already, I'd be in the loft, have the drain covers up and be snapping away with a good camera, because it's amazing what one still misses second time around.
No one would be in any doubt that I was serious, but then the money is 'serious' too and it saves the vendor a surveyor's visit.
I'd also be visiting the area at different times of the day/night/week, just to see what goes on.0 -

Some people want to be out of the way and leave the agent to it, whilst others are happy to talk about the neighbours, the general area and happy to be on hand to answer questions. Each to their own.
To be honest, I find it entirely normal, but maybe I'm the odd one. We shared the viewings roughly 50:50 with our agent and we only hid next door once, because we already knew the [STRIKE]old bag [/STRIKE] person viewing.
All the properties we viewed were smallholdings, where it's normal for the vendors to do the viewings, due to the time needed. If an agent does it, they show the house and then clear off.0 -
Personally I really would not worry about cosmetic stuff or whether existing furniture fits, they would be my lowest priorities as this can be easily fixed.
I would be looking to see if sizes of rooms are suitable for your, large cracks in walls, roof, damp area's, neighbours properties, surrounding area. Also you mentioned you would park on a grass verge, if the council stop you from doing that would there be somewhere else to park? only reason for asking this is because my local council have started issuing fines for parking on the verges.0
