Hi everyone, new to this forum so hope it's ok to join in. NTNP at the moment but tracking using Flo and wondered if anyone else uses an app to track AF and predicated OV dates with success or if the OPK are the way forward? As we are just taking it easy with NTNP at the moment I'm not quite ready to splash out on the expensive OPKs! Thanks in advance!0

Welcome to the board Peach!
Most of us use Flo & Ovia to track cycles & ovulation. Not sure if you've been on the pill or not & if your cycles are regular? Once you start tracking and if your regular you will most likely notice a trend & can gauge ovulation from there. I've used the cheap one step OPKs from amazon/ebay to test the waters & see if i'm ovulating, You can get 20 for about £3-4. You don't need to splash out on the expensive Clearblue ones.0 -
Thanks for your reply!
I came off the pill last April and since have used barrier methods until beginning of Jan where we decided to NTNP. My cycles were regular straight after stopping the pill which is good but I did worry a bit when AF didn’t arrived in November at all. I had all the symptoms (pains etc) but nothing and I even tested despite being 100% sure it wasn’t a surprise. AF arrived in December as if I’d had November’s (if that makes sense) so hoping November was just a one off.
Thanks for the heads up re: OPK!0 -
Don't get me wrong.... every other day is our usual pattern too! We just hadn't BDed in a couple of week due to illness and going back to work so a quiet weekend meant we could recharge and it happily coincided with fertile week! I doubt that run will happen again haha
OH had his second blood test today so hopefully next week we should hear from the doctor and have abit of a better idea of what is going on or what the next steps are. Trying to not think about it as I will only worry!
Welcome to the board Cheeky! I have used Ovia from the start then started to use Fertility Friend about 3 months ago to record my BBT (temps). I would recommend this method and wished I had started it earlier! Its about £3 for a BBt thermometer and you quickly get into a habit of taking your temp (you have to do it as soon as you wake, literally before you even get out of bed!). It doesn't warn you when you are about the ovulate but confirms that you have afterwards so you can be sure you are ovulating and then also start to see if there is a pattern. It will try to predict your ovulation like Ovia does also.0 -
Welcome to the board Cheeky! I used the cheapie opks and monitored cervical position and mucus - not something everyone likes to do though
I hope everyone is having a good weekend! I feel like a bit of a fraud but I got my BFP yesterday! It was quite faint but the FRER had a line the OH could see! I retook it today and it is a bit darker and a standard Clear Blue has a line on it!
I am so terrified that this isn’t actually happening and I haven’t stopped spotting so not going to believe it for a bit so going to hang around here if you don’t mind! I have just realised I have signed myself up for a lifetime of worry - hoping the little guy sticks in there!
We are just off for a walk in the snow! :j0 -

Hi can you please add me to the list? I am CD5. I got pregnant in July 2018 after a month of trying, then miscarried when i though i was 12 weeks, but actually only 7+4 in October 2018. We have been trying since. We havent had any tests, we are 23 / 24 and healthy, but I am classed medically as obese (size 14) and so trying to loose some weight whilst we try!0

When posting updates, can you please do them in Magenta so it's easy to spot. This thread is all about support, so remember to click thanks on as many posts as you can! It makes us all feel loved.
For those posting on smartphones or tablets the code for magenta is
([ )COLOR="magenta"( ] )your text ( [ )/COLOR ( ] ) (lose the round bracket)
Please let me know if anything needs editing (including the zone you are in) and I will try to keep up. If you would like adding to the lists just let me know what CD day you are (the first day of your period is CD1).

Welcome to the board lthompsonx.
The lists haven't been updated since 7th Jan, so I've tried to update them, if any dates are wrong then let me know & i'll edit them.
I've added myself back in for now till I've had the tests to see if there's anything wrong.0
