How exciting kirtsypoos, hope you get good news this weekend/next week! I'm alright thanks, come back from the AF blues, ready to try again for another month. I'm a little bit unsure about whether to just take the month off from actively trying, since I'd potentially be giving up drinking smack bang in the middle of our first holiday in a year....

I had that thought about not trying this month - it's my OHs 30th early July so I've booked a long weekend abroad for us and my mouth is already watering at the thought of a few cocktails but obviously I won't partake if i manage to get a BFP. My thoughts were that if it was meant to be, it would be and if I was meant to over indulge on cocktails, I would be able to!

Sorry to hear that MrsNubs, such a painful thing to deal with. Are you on antibiotics?

Kirstypoos am keeping fingers crossed for you. I hope you have something to occupy yourself with during this second part of your 2WW.

Cherry glad to hear you are back out of the AF blues. Nice you have a holiday to look forward to. Where are you off to?

MrsNubs I am prone to UTI/ cystitis and suffer a lot from mild infections. Have also had a couple of bad infections so I feel for you as it causes me a lot of anxiety a lot of the time. I don't know if this will help but I have recently come across a natural remedy called D Mannose. It's basically the ingredient in cranberry juice that helps but is much more concentrated. It is a natural sugar which clings to the bacteria and helps it to pass though rather than it sticking to the bladder walls which causes the pain. Last time I had a (fairly mild) infection I took 1000mg every day for 7 days and it completely cleared up. I avoid antibiotics now as they make me feel rubbish and then give me thrush and I get stuck in a cycle, and D Mannose is completely natural. I take them occasionally as a preventative measure and they seem to do the trick. Worth having a read up on if you are still suffering or are prone to infections. Hope it clears quickly for you, as I said I know how rubbish it can make you feel.

Hope everyone else is ok. I am currently marking GCSE papers for the exam board, nearly half way!

kirtsypoos I think I'll take a leaf out of your book and try and find something good in it either way. Hope you have a good trip for OH birthday! We are off to Germany and Denmark, visiting friends and sightseeing. Germany first, so I suppose if I do give up drinking, at least it will save us a few Danish Krona!

No BFP for me this month, but as a positive I had a 25 day cycle, with an 11 day LP, unlike last month with an 8 day LP 22 day cycle.
We had a lovely holiday, nice and relaxing, now CD 5, so getting ready for the fertile window
