BA let us down again

Good old BA they never fail to let us down, by cancelling our domestic flights. I stopped using them for this reason but took advantage recently of the cheap business class deals from Dublin to Miami.
Flew to Dublin yesterday, overnighted, only to receive a BA text at 3am saying our Dublin to LHR leg at 7.40 is cancelled! Meaning we miss the next leg . I know it's a through ticket and they have to sort it but I can't believe they have let me down again

How annoying for you, but in fairness I don't think BA cancel that many flights.
Given the frequency of BA/EI on the DUB/LHR route I hope that they have rebooked you on a flight without too much further delay. As you point out at least holding a through ticket means that they will rebook your connection to MIA and take care of you in the meantime.
Hopefully with just a few hours delay you can settle into business class seat and be on your way to the Sunshine State.

what does MMB show you rebooked on?
hopefully this is either the 06:40 or 07:40 EI flights0 -
I've been rebooked on AA. I'll probably die of hypothermia lol. BA cancel our domestic flights regularly from Aberdeentravelover0

I've flown from EDI to LHR/LCY (and back) fairly often for years with BA and I can honestly say that I've never once had a flight cancelled.0

Depends what you mean by fairly often I suppose, but you are a little lucky in that case, as domestic flights are usually among the first victims when there are weather problems at LHR.
That said, it's difficult for BA with LHR operating at 98% of capacity, when the weather causes an issue there is no option but to cancel some flights. Don't think it was weather for the OP today though, the inbound flight to DUB last night looks like it operated ok, so possibly a tech or crew issue.0 -

If thats an AA 777-300ER from LHR, its supposed to be a very nice Biz Class.:j:beer:
If its via an American connecting airport (DUB-NYC, NYC-MIA), maybe less pleasant

Is this a reference to how BA cabins are usually uncomfortably hot
or the fact you are stuck at ABZ for longer ???
Pity they didn't put you on one of the DUB to east coast flights with a connection and avoided LHR completely .
What was the reason given for cancellation - You do sound particularly unlucky-I've never had BA cancel a flight on me either.I Would Rather Climb A Mountain Than Crawl Into A Hole
MSE Florida wedding .....no problem0 -
I have a BA Heathrow to Dublin flight coming up in June so I hope that it doesn't get cancelled. I wouldn't lose money because it is a work trip but could miss part of a conference.0

At least they told you about it, I found out that my flight from Birmingham to Cork on Monday was cancelled when I arrived at the airport and looked at the departures board. Aer Lingus had made no effort to contact me or reroute me in advance, although they did do it when I asked what they intended to do to get me there (via Dublin and a bus to Cork).0
