LOL, report it to The Sun see if you can get a few ££ out of them running the story!!

Is your garden a mess or unkempt and where do you live? I did see on the news that in London a group of people set on tidying the capital are going around after hours tidying roundabouts and the like. Maybe someone is trying to tell you something. Can you leave them a note asking to call at my neighbours house - i am sick at looking at bushes! Even the council send people round every now and them and cut everything down to 3 ft with their hedgetrimmers - takes them about 5 minutes - when they are doing their local landscaping. No one else gets this treatment and if she knows the blokes she doesn't ever come out and thank them so I think the council know she doesn't bother and sends their men round to sort it out.
  • If you live in a flat perhaps the neighbours or even you have got the plots mixed up.Maybe someone is wondering why you put pots etc in their little patch.

  • maybe it's elves???? (well they did help the shoemaker)

do you have a cctv camera or one you could borrow?
or if it a regular thing ie. same day each week or whatever I'd stand guard to see who it is that's doing it.

It does sound very funny though,

How very odd! Have you tried asking your neighbours if they've seen anybody doing things in your garden? They may not have mentioned it already if they think you know about it, or think it's a friend of yours or something like that....... and at least they'll know to be on the look-out, too!

I think I'd be inclined to pop into the police station and mention it, see if they've got any advice, as well.

Please do let us know what happens - I'm intrigued!

No, I live in a lovely old victorian house with it's own garden and it has a 3 foot wall and gate around it.It's always tidy even though it's only a small garden and has a few shrubs and a tidy flower bed.I'm out deadheading everyday, just to keep it looking neat.No one needs to come in unless they have a reason to.I'm just waiting to see what happens next.
  • That would really wierd me out!

I woul get one of those monitoring cameras and monitor the garden everynight!
Only two big facts are known for certain: you are on a large, spinning rock hurtling through lonely space at about 67,000 mph, and one day your body is going to die. Will a new pair of shoes really help? :p

  • I would go with the desk sgt.idea then.Very, very strange indeed???
Maybe ask the police station to turn their CCTV camera a little so that it watches your garden for a night.

Or perhaps get a security light.

See if they fancy doing the gardening in a spotlight.

I have heard of similar things done- ie a bus shelter being turfed and planted up ,plus gnomes. I suspect your other neighbours may find some gardening has been done too-and like you -they may be hoping no-one is coming to claim-your pots! Make sure you have nothing else like house signs or gates that could also walk off.
