well someones playing plain daft in my front garden,I only have a small patch about 12 ft by 4 but things keep going missing pots ect and today I got up opened my blinds and lo and behold someone has planted a lovely box tree, about 3 ft high, cut perfectly into a cone shape in the middle of my garden. It's actually realy lovely and I hope no one comes to claim it.I am a bit uneasy though as to what might come/go next.
The daft thing is I live on a very busy main street dead opposite the police station and although we sleep in the back of the house and don't hear what goes on in the front, how can anyone get away with digging in someones front garden in the middle of the night on a a very brightly lit main street opposite the police station.

Although this is quite amusing, how the heck do they manage this in front of a police station:rolleyes:
Personally I would report this to the police before you get a knock on your door & are arrested for theft, but also let them know if your not too bothered by it. It's a case of covering your own back more than reporting the criminal damage to your property:DGive a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach that person touse the Internet and they won't bother you for weeks.:D0 -

why not leave a little note asking if they could weed it,cut the grass, tidy the edgings and could they keep that nice little tree in the cone position they brought it in !!!I heart The Capital

Must be one of those Luner or is it loonie
gardeners i keep reading about.
Is the police station 24 hour or part time ? our local one is part time so i can see how they could get away with that.
As already stated you had better report it just in case its a "borrowed" plant only problem with that is the police may think your the loonie
