There's no reason to have any contact with this woman. Don't answer the phone to her

  • Extended family can be so tiresome can't they? Honestly, you can't trust anyone other than your own stock. The standard of breeding seems to have fallen considerably.

My cousin's girlfriend's aunt is currently harassing me. She claims I could easily sell one of my country piles in order to fund her daughter's private education. The cheek of it! How could I possibly be expected to manage with only THREE houses? In any case, this woman claims Working Tax Credits and she isn't even ashamed about it. She's clearly nothing but a scrounger and I don't see why I should enable the offspring of such a commoner to enter the upper echelons.

    ;)

My stepsons partners mother is a interfering person all round. She has messaged my husband on face book and asked him to fund private education for their son who is my husbands grandson.
She was told no its not possible but is still trying to persuade him.
She is even saying we live well and my wage isn't even needed.
My husband has spoken to his son and he says he doesn't want him to go private it is her interfering.
I just want to tell her to get lost. She has even suggested us and her and her husband sell half of our properties each so the kid can go straight to a private one when he starts school then go on to university at 18.
I think she is dead cheeky.
I have a daughter who is 19 later this year and starts university this year I never paid for her to go private so why should this kid be any different?
I think this often happens when family think it's acceptable to stick their noses into other people's business.
I agree - it is very interfering.

Why do you think this person hasn't taken 'no' for an answer?
Is your husband a bit of a wimp?

I'm unsure why you are getting involved in this (or maybe I'm not smiley-rolleyes010.gif).

If your stepson doesn't want his son to go to private school, why isn't he telling his MIL (to be) to back off?
Is he a bit of a wimp too?
