Sky looking £50 to activate fibre for us to change over. We have already been with Talk Talk on fibre so how do you activate something that is already active? Is it not just a case of taking over the line?

It's actually the charge from Openreach to go the cabinet and change the port your line is connected to on the DSLAM, that is passed on to the customer.
Often if you take out the higher speed packages, the ISP absorbs this cost due to the higher monthly fee you're paying for the service.0
