Morning all
Off to Knole Park today, with flasks and picnic 😀
.
Hope you have a good day at Knole Park, the house is amazing and the portrait of the King who seems to be tapping his foot, scared the daylights out of my youngest DGS when we went there;)
lovely day out though Last time we went they were renovating some of the floor tiles and a lot of it was covered up.tea rooms are a bit pricey so flasks and sarnies are definitely required.
Just Facetimed DD at Deal as she is sitting on the front by the Zetland Arms (their local when they are at their caravan) Look as though their weather is warmer 40 miles further south.Sun is out in the Medway but quite windy.
DGS Jack has just got his letter offering him a place at his school in 6th form to do 4 'A' levels from September. He is quite pleased as to get in you have to apply even though he's been there for 5 years since he was 11 :j He's been at school this morning doing revision classes for his science GCSE's which are due next month. Bless him, going into school when he is on holiday is true dedication but he is determined to do well.
DDs washing is blowing well on her whirlygig washing pole I managed to get two loads done for her this morning.
Keeping myself busy and occupied is the best way I think Thanks again chums for all your kind thoughts

Afternoon - I ended up being out most of the day, visited two garden centres and got a couple of plants for the back garden.
My nose is streaming and dripping, a cold started last night and today is going down the normal route. The sneezes are good 'uns too! That's air travel for you. Already my nose is sore so I'm going to rub Vick on it as it'll help keep the skin smooth and heal fast.
Misery on misery, and yes, I do feel sorry for myself! Not often I lurch into self-pity but today seems the day. I'll be fine tomorrow no doubt.
Off to bed now with the electric blanket on, a flask of tea and two more paracetamol to soothe me.
Hugs to everyone who needs one (but not too close!).0 -

When a dd had this a couple of weeks ago I suggested she rub V*cks on the soles of her feet, wear socks on top and go to bed and sleep. After giving me a funny look, she tried it and it did help, much to her surprise.
Rainy and cold here and had to get a bus to Wetherby to pick up post from the old house (EA is in Wetherby). Took the chance to visit a supermarket and now have extra pairs of socks, knickers etc.
Bedroom ceiling has had a first coat of white paint as have the walls and the new lights look great against it even though the wall colour has not gone on yet. Feel quite excited as I feel things are taking shape. Even one room downstairs that feels like "mine" will be such a treat.
Had fish and veg for dinner and tried to eat more sensibly during the day so fingers crossed for the weigh in tomorrow.
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"
