I fail to see why this would matter to you or anybody else more to the point ! , Also as per above how do you expect deliveries to be made if there is no rear entrance suitable to unload.

Life is far too short to worry about such trivial things like this and creating a thread about it screams local busy body with too much time on there hands.

Angle. Look at the position of the estate agent boards.

The angle can't make entire shops disappear and the colour of the Windows above the shops change colour.

The truck's parked in the same place in both shots - look at the position of the traffic lights, although the crossing markings aren't visible in the first pic.

The tail lift is still horizontal in the second shot, but raised - look at the position of the yellow side guard.

Where did the pedestrian crossing markers go in the second photo?

You could be right off course.

However you are redirecting the thread in different direction, I don't see anything wrong with a commercial vehicle offloading outside a commercial premises.

As I don't drive one for a living I don't know if they are allowed to do it there or not.

I always thought you had 20mins to load or unload. As long as the vehicle was parked safely.

That vehicle seems to parked close to the kerb and I suspect a reversing maneuvere without a banks man would be more dangerous than parked parallel to a kerb in a wide Main Street.

I'm afraid this thread smacks of NIMBYism.

ITYM the first, or where did they come from in the second?

They're under/behind the silver car, heading to just out of shot.

Subway is to the right of William Hill, and the black bay window with EA sign is above WH.

It's not difficult. It's a wide pavement, so you have a very different angle of view between the two.

OP - can you just put this to bed by giving a streetview, which'd be useful for settling the question of obstruction, too.

They haven't changed colour if Subway is to the right of William Hill.

I suspect somebody didn't look where they were going while pulling round a rather obvious hazard, was involved in a collision, with the insurance claim not going the way they expected - and is now looking for justification for their outrage.

It may, of course, have just been a near miss rather than a collision.

Because photos of registration plates can steal the driver's soul, obviously.

Some people are so self centred that they can't see anyone else's point of view. The lorry has tens of thousands of pounds worth of goods to unload. Weighing several tonnes.

The lorry parking there just causes a very minor inconvenince to other road users in that everyone passing by will need to drive slowly and carefully to ensure no pedestrian and about to cross your path.

The driver can stop on a double yellow or single yellow without kerb markings for up to 45 mins as long as the traffic warden observes loading & unloading taking place every 5 mins.

Yellow lines on kerbs which are tangental to road lines indiciate no loading. zig-zag lines are specifically used where it is unsafe to load & park. Red lines are used where it is forbidden to load or stop.

The only difference between a single yellow and double yellow is single yellow applies during controlled parking hours, double yellow applies 24 hours.
