Then someone put 1* because they booked 6 months in advance and 12 hours after booking cancelled because of medical issues of daughter - B&B owner kept deposit. I would have given same rating as well - I also wander whether in UK that would have been legal - how much has the b&b owner lost?

You need to be careful of TA - take everything with a pinch of salt - I have seen reviews that give 1* because of the time it took to get to airport from hotel.

Tripadvisor reviews can be very entertaining, I liked the one that gave a hotel one star on the basis they thought the towels were the wrong colour. Also another that hapgave a very critical review until the hotel responded that their credit card had been charged because the customers had stolen the television from the room.
