What to do with all these routers?

Hi, due to the best broadband deals only being available to "new customers only" and following Martin's excellent advice about switching Broadband suppliers, I've amassed 5 ADSL routers from various companies. Any ideas what to do with these? The companies don't seem interested in collecting them and still insist that you pay postage for yet another everytime you switch. I've discovered that the internet will work on any of the routers, irrespective of who's supplying the service....as long as the same email address is used when ordering.

I really wish that the internet providers would give deals to retain customers rather than encourage churn within the industry.

If ay of them happen to be a Skyhub, I'd happily take it off your hands :)

You'll find plenty of Supermarkets do those recycle banks in their parking areas too.

You can turn them into switches or wireless access points - lots of instructions online.

If you have no need of those, next time you switch ISP simply decline their supplied router. Not all will let you, but many will.

I put half a dozen on ebay at 99p about a year ago and didn't shift a single one-the market is simply flooded with the things. You could try Freegle.

Buy a bag of cement and construct a novel garden ornament with them.
