Switching Broadband from TalkTalk to BT

Hello,
I am wondering if someone could help me. I am about to switch my broadband from talktalk to BT. The earliest the switch can happen is on the 25th April and I am next due to pay for my line rental and broadband on the 22nd April.
Having not switched providers before I am a little confused as to what I will have to pay. Would this mean I would have to pay both BT and talktalk both for next month despite only having talktalk for the 3 days between paying this and switching to BT?
Trying to work out if i would be better to arrange the switch to closer to my next talktalk bill.
Thanks for your help
Jim

You shouldn't get charged for the same period twice, but will probably be out of pocket for a short time, if BT charge in advance from the date you become a BT customer.
TT probably will take a months payment in advance, they should then refund you the part month after the switch, but it's not unheard of for them to leave this money as a 'credit' so you may have to contact them to refund the money back to your account0 -
Hi Jim_Chen
I am sorry to hear that you’re wanting to leave us. Have you had a chat with our Loyalty team? All advanced charges will be credited back on the final bill.
Thanks
