Video editing software

I am looking for some cool video editing software, to play around with footage made from my action cam (not a GoPro), when I go karting with friends.
The files are mostly .mov files, but would probably need software that can handle other formats like .avi.
I am not too fussed if I have to buy it, really looking for others experiences.

I've been working with Viosk video editing software. It turns my everyday videos into beautifully edited
movies, perfect for sharing. It's quick, easy-to-use, and flexible. Give it a try!

I use Cyberlink Power Director - though don't do a great deal of movie editing.
It does all we need and copes with a range of formats

Lightworks is highly rated, but I have to admit bloody hard to use.

I tend to use Videomach more often than anything else, sure it leaves a water mark, but it usually doesn't matter.

  • I've used Sony Vegas Movie Studio for years. Easy to use and takes most formats.

There's always Windows Movie Maker which is part of Windows Live Essentials. It's free and downloadable from here.

    It's fairly basic though.

I concur with this, I also have used this for some years now. It took a little time to get used to it and I needed some help from you tube tutorials but would highly recommend it.
