TalkTalk contract cancellation query?

I have been with TalkTalk for a few years and have been quite satisfied with their service for phone, broadband & TV. My present contract is for 18 months, of which the first 12 months I negotiated quite a reasonable deal of £10 per month, which included free fibre broadband normally £10 pm (not inc land line rental). Now the 12 months are up I am liable to pay the full £30 pm. So far I have negotiated them down to £17.50 and my aim is £15 otherwise I leave. Of course I then would be liable to pay a ridiculous amount as a penalty. However, if I accept their offer of a new contract at £17.50 for 12 months and then the full £30 for the remaining 6 months - Does anyone know whether I would be able to leave TalkTalk without penalty within the first ten(?) days of this new contract.

No, because there is no cooling-off period on a contract extension (it is not a new contract). No free lunch, and no free laptop0

We do have a cooling off period, You will need to speak to our cancellations team and advise them that you want to cancel your renewal, and fibre order, and have the contract rolled back, this needs to be done by the account holder and before the (installation date)

Hi johidd,
All available offers to current c customers can be discussed with our Loyalty team. Any cancelations placed whilst within contract, early termination offers will apply.
