Question about DLA

Just wanted to say thank you for the help-I will be getting some extra money in the ctc which along with the dla will pay for karate for my little boy(recommended by doc for coordination) and swimming(to build up his muscles), and shoes as he ruins them(quite frequently as he falls over a lot). First thing I'll be getting is a new mattress for him(he has wet the bed so many times it always smells faintly of wee, despite being cleaned). I also need to get him a balance bike as recommended by the occupation therapist-any idea where to get one?Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34

Is a balance bike a special type of bike? If you Google 'balance bikes' there are several places that sell them.

They're fairly common with toddlers etc now. Just a bike with no pedals0

If you are on face book go onto some of the local selling sites.
There a loads of balance bikes for sale on them.....make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
They are all too small though. My son is almost 6 and fairly tall. The ones I have seen are for 2-4 year olds but I shall keep looking

It is possible to just remove the pedals and cranks from a regular bike, then you can put them back when ready.
I would need help to do this myself, but it was one of the suggestions given on a forum talking about balance bikes (also known as running bikes)0 -

Do you know I'm so stupid I didn't even think to add the words "for older child". I blame my fuzzy head.Debts Jan 2014 £20,108.34
