Morning all,
Dull and drizzly here but I have the day offgot a wash on the go and another to go in after, they might have to go in the TD as we cannot have washing on the airer as it causes mould in the house.
Going to drop dd off at the station she is off to placement but nearing the end now and she cant wait to finish, her dissertation is almost finished she wants me to read through tonight so spot any mistakes and then she can send it off, I must say she has worked so hard on it and will be glad once its sent !
Going to take Evie into work today to meet everyone, the clients will love her, we think we have worked out that she is allergic to wheat, she had some dog food with pasta in and her eyes flared up again, so will try her without for a few days to see if it helps.
Takeaway night tonight, so no cooking for me, so will have a tidy round then walk the bear and have a relax ready for work this weekend.
TA glad everything went well xx
Candlelight I am so pleased he is home, big hugs xx

Tru Hello
Gers Safe journey
TA Glad that the curry was enjoyed
Hugs for Hester, Hilstep, Dumpling and Judi
Lamewolf Long time no speak, Hello to you.
Had a fantastic day at the spa yesterday including a back massage that seems to have sorted out my knee, how does that happen?
Dropping DS at the station today for his return to university and then taking DD1 and DD2 shopping- might be expensive!
Have a lovely day everyone.:)0 -
Safe journey home Gers xx
candlelight How great the treatment you are getting for your OH and how you must be feeling relieved at the care he is getting.
Folk are quick to knock the NHS but to me they have been nothing but brilliant ,both to myself and my late OH when he was ill.
We are so lucky, that for all its failings, it cures more than it kills, and the care that our super Doctors and nurses treat us with is nine times out of ten absolutely brilliant.
All governments no matter which party should be rightly proud of the dedication of the NHS staff at all levels, and pay them accordingly instead of scrimping on their wages .
Well my rant for the day is over and the sun is now up and shining and I return to the happy little old lady you all know and love:):)
Friday today and the end of the DGS first week of school holidays .DGS Jack is knee deep in revision for his GCSE's next month so I am in the background feeding him numerous cheese toasties and saying there, there you will be fine:):)
Next lad down Henry is still smiling as his hated braces are gone forever (he only has to wear a retainer overnight for 11 months) .
and the youngest Mikey is a happy boy as we managed to find him a game for his 360 system for 99p in a CS yesterday and he paid for it himself with a big grin on his face, so he will probably be playing with that this morning I am hoping if the weather perks up I can get several wash loads for my DD done and out on her line today.
Apart from that not a great deal to do as I am at DDs until one of them gets home after work tonight.
Hopefully the weather will keep warm, and this time next week I am off up to Leek in Staffordshire for a weeks holiday with my oldest friend.
Hope everyone has a good day today and <<hugs>> for those who need one
Cheers chums JackieO xxx0 -
Good morning to you all. Happy Friday!!
nmlc - thanks for kicking us off today. You've a very busy day ahead!
Candlelight - Delighted to hear your DH is on the mend. Lets hope that continues.
Gers - Safe travels on the long flight. The weather isn't to clever our way, just warning you.
TA - Glad things went well yesterday despite a traumatic journey, by the sounds of it.
Tru - Fantastic idea and that's what we done with our old border collie, molly. Didn't travel too well at all.
My favourite day of the week today and my cousins 30th birthday party tonight in her house, which is a 1920's theme! Bought a bowler hat (£4) and a fake mustache (£1) to go with my black suit and braces. GF is driving so I might have a little drink to celebrate.
In the meantime I've work to contend with, I'll keep myself busy and be productive. I'll get by without buying lunch so should be a cheap day for me.
I'll try and check in but please have a good weekend to you one and all.

Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Safe journey home Gers, Mr CL so pleased that the water is receding and you are feeling more comfortable. Mr TA sorry you got lost, but the shorter wait was good.
Well I had a very frustrating day yesterday, I was trying to open some files that were zipped, no way. I gave up in despair.
Friday clean to do, my machine is on its way back from the repairers, all sorted at a price. How ever it was long overdue a service.
I expect OH will be out in the garden, he planted the rest of the shrubs yesterday, used some of our home made compost.
Nothing much else going on, I overslept so breakfast brought through, I bless the day we applied for this bungalow. Having no stairs is wonderful.0 -
Good Morning everyone, cooler here this morning and mainly cloudy but a little blue sky here and there. I'm off to W8rose this morning to do a 'store cupboard' stock up and then to I*eland where there seems to be an increasingly attractive range of reasonable and good quality foods these days. Home to walk Cookie this afternoon and then lots of ironing to tackle and then all the holiday deficiencies are remedied.
JUDI I've been back through all these daily threads and am so very sorry that your mum has completed her lifes journey and finally is at rest. Thoughts are with you and the family love xxx.
CANDLELIGHT so pleased that DH is continuing to improve and that this IS a manageable condition in the future. I did get your message, thanks love at a time when time was missing too, and I did reply but maybe it didn't get there? I'm so pleased you eventually got him to see the GP and just in time it would appear from the extent of his problems, men are so blinkered when it comes to their own health problems aren't they? Thank heavens you are there and on the case and that he listened.....eventually! Catch up day for me today and shopping for the week ahead, all looks like Mother Hubbard lived here while I was away!!!
Have yourselves a good day everyone, holidays are fantastic but so is the routine of everyday life in my own home so I'm enjoying being back, Lyn xxx.0 -
Hi everyone,
Glad to hear your news Candlelight.
Jackie,I half agree with you, when the NHS works it's brilliant, when it doesn't it's dire. I've had very good experiences on the whole, but both my parents didn't. Dad almost died because staff ignored his symptoms and family concerns after his operation, he ended up intubated and sedated in ICU for four days. He then missed vital chemotherapy because no-one told him it was needed. Mum was in and out of hospital like a yoyo because they kept discharging her when she wasn't fit. The day she died I knew the end was near and the doctor I asked to check said it was likely to take hours or days, she died 15 minutes later and DH virtually had to drag the doctor to the bed.
Sorry, I didn't realise how bitter I still feel about their treatment, there is lots more I could say but I'm now in tears and don't want to bring the thread down more.0 -
Good morning all,
Hugs to all who need or want one :grouphug:
Sunny here today! At last i can get some washing on the line, that'll free up my dining room.
I'm finishing work around lunchtime today so can take pooch out for a really really good walk as I couldn't yesterday. After that there are chores to get done so I can relax a little over the weekend.
I have gotten quite behind with my housework recently so have broken the jobs down for each day- come Tues I should be back on track with my rota :dance:
Chicken and avocado salad for lunch and then tuna steak with HM salsa, broccoli and brown rice for tea.
I treated myself to the Carry On film boxset - I absolutely love them!! :rotfl: So i will start that this weekend i think!
