Hi
We are looking to buy a property in swallow fields. I understand that you had reserved the property a while ago. How did it go? Any suggestions please.
Thanks0 -
The people posting on this thread seem to register, ask a question, get some advice (from myself anyway) and never come back or acknowledge anything.

Barratt Homes. Run as fast as you can in the opposite direction. Or buy one a few years old so the current owner has dealt with all the faults.0

Our first home was a Barratt Homes and we had no issues with it what so ever.
Our next door neighbours not so lucky as they had their electrics go on them!
As the estate was still being built I found that if I ever needed anything all I had to do was to walk over to the foreman office and someone would be sent over. Once the estate had finished I then just walked down to the sales office and someone would get sent out. Once the sales office closed Id ring the call centre and someone would come out. Didn't really have any problems but yeah, could just be I had that one in a million house!
On the other hand the cowboys they are in bed with who run their estates (RMG)...DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THESE CRIMINALS AND THE UTTER LACK OF SERVICE THESE F**KWITS PROVIDE THEIR CUSTOMERS!!!
Now look what you have done. Spoilt my day!!! :rotfl:

Was you first on the list and they contacted you to reserve ?0 -
Perhaps you can help me, and please don't take this the wrong way.
To me, new builds are little boxes, in faux communities, with very few local amenities. What's the appeal?
Some new builds can be built in good locations - where I live is a new build which was built on the site of a disused pub - it's a normal street with mostly victorian houses and has local independent shops and other facilities (places to eat, drink etc) in the same street, and surrounding streets - what i hate are windswept "estate type" new builds where you are lucky if you even get one of those nasty tesco express things.0
