How often do you eat out, and how much do you spend on average?

Usually once a week on average. More when away, of course. We go out with friends once a month, usually spending £60/70 for us both.
In the week we will go on deals. Cinema on the meerkats, then a meal on a voucher or taste card.
Never make chips at home, but treat ourselves when out. Trouble is, we do eat out increasingly often.Member #14 of SKI-ers club
Words, words, they're all we have to go by!.
(Pity they are mangled by this autocorrect!)0 -
BC (before children) we would eat out every 1-2 weeks, and probably get a takeaway once a week as well. These days we eat out every 1-2 months, and would usually spend £50-90 for the four of us. When we're on holiday we normally alternate days eating out and eating in. We also get a takeaway every few weeks, which would be either burgers, Chinese or Indian (although I've been learning to cook Indian food and so there is less need to get a takeaway these days).
I also like to go out for lunch once a week, and I usually spend £5-10. My favourite is the Vietnamese stall in the market which does an amazing beef salad for £5.0 -
Pretty regularly, couple times a month probably.
Was out on Monday and the bill for the 2 of us was about £120.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
Usually once a week & usually just me & DH. What we spend depends on where we go but it's generally anything between £50-£70. Every few months we might go somewhere a bit more 'posh' and have a bill closer to £100 or so for the two of us.
We usually bring DD3 out with us once a month or so, then we tend to go to the local Thai or Indian and the cost might be a bit less than £50.
We don't often go out for lunch but when we do, we can spend anything from £10-£30 depending where we go.0 -
Not so much nowadays since I've spent the last 9 years cooking for a living )
Now if we do eat out its lunch and it's two courses for a tenner ( going rate this part of the country) with wine
I'd love to go out more and have more choice of foods but for that we have to travel and need to book a hotel so it doesn't happen0 -
During week probably eat out 2 or 3 times at local pub with the rest of management, take wife and kids out a couple of times a week to cafe's or restaurants, usually end up at yo sushi or pizza express if we go to Derby at weekends. I spend quite a bit on food and drink, but thats why God invented company expenses.0

It varies month to month, we used to always go out for payday but we don't now. Saving for wedding and honeymoon and a house deposit and trying to regain control of credit cards means some of the fun stuff has to go
we go out still when invited by others and we did go out at the start of this month but that was mainly because we realised it'd been ages since we'd been out the 2 of us....
When eating out with friends it's usually nandos or similar so don't spend too much. When it's just me and OH we'll spend anything from £25 to £60 typicallyTrying to lose weight (13.5lb to go)0 -
Breakfast or lunch out on a Saturday usually, maybe £20-£30.
Out for a meal, just me and the wife as son has moved out, somewhere nice, maybe £60-80 for the two of us every other week on average.
Carry out, maybe once a week on average.0 -
Very rare, possibly once a year. I home cook and even on holiday we have a picnic lunch and home cooked dinner as we SC.The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0

1-2x a year, max. Pub meal or carvery, so all in should be £12 each time (hopefully less).
So call it £25/year.0
