When the Tour De France came round our way they were meant to go up Box Hill but skipped it because of the weather.

Thanks AJ think we just have to hope with time it will settle down she is using the bio oil and guess it's early days still.

I feel as guilty as ever for getting her involved in trampolining that she is now scarred for life and it's not somewhere you can easily hide on the forearm. :(

TS you are very much like me. With my OCD I have an overwhelming sense of responsibility for everyone. I blame myself for everything bad that happens to my family.

Logically you do know you encouraged trampolining for a fun pastime even if down the line your dd was talented enough to compete and you encouraged that you did nothing any other parent wouldn't have done by encouraging her. Had she not gone down that path how do you know she wouldn't have hurt herself outplaying instead and then you would have blamed yourself for not encouraging trampolining :rotfl::rotfl: . Try like me to remember you always have there best interest at heart and you would do everything in your power to protect them so how can you be to blame ? Hth xx
Cherish those you have in your life because you never know when they won't be there anymore.

I'm passed the stage where I even want sunshine. A dry calm day would be nice. Another day I'll not get down the field:o

    Cjj :A

I guess I feel I could have encouraged something slightly less dangerous, it was all DD3 knew with the other 2 already jumping. DD1 never pushed herself outside her comfort zone only did couple of comps very young and then jumped for fun. DD2 was the one who did really well and had some natural ability and no fear. DD3 always needed that bit of extra encouragement to master the next big somersault, it was a new move she had just learnt she had the accident with. She had plateaued with her training up until then for at least a year so maybe that was her limit. :o

It's hard to see approx 3 to 4 inch scar on my beautiful young lady...

You are right she could have had an accident anywhere look at me I just slipped up in school changing room after swimming lesson and broke mine but I was extremely lucky bone did not break through. I know in reality we cannot protect them always. Xx

Hi AJ, hope you are ok too, did read you have been told to take it easy. :A

The scar is still pretty red especially at one end. :(

We were very disappointed when she went for her final appointment at the hospital her consultant was not there and she just saw a senior physio.

I mentioned the thickening of the scar and what I had read on t'internet about possible cortisone injections to help. But she didn't think that was in the consultant's realms. Rang back just over a week ago to say she had discussed it with him and she has been discharged from the hospital. And will need to be referred back through GP, for any more issues but it was still early days for the scar healing. :(

I wish it had been discussed that if you already had a keloid scar you are more susceptible to getting them again. This scar is slightly longer than the original....

It should settle down in time. Once its fully healed try bio oil twice a day for 3 months.
