Good morning all...
I just typed a long post and lost it ....so in summary but with heartfelt meaning...
Thinking of Nanny today x
Admiration to Snap and her family for the daily challenges you all face with dad....but it can only be a good thing that he now wants to interact with the world in town....amazed at your mum and her dedication too xx
Qoc...oldtown was showing cards on both Fri and Sat evenings when we were there at christmas...not sure if it was just because of the "holiday season"....or if its been extended.....wander round and chat to the owners beforehand and wait for the cruise by at 8.30pm...well worth it...cars start to arrive from early afternoon onwards and even thats worth going to see...luckily we stayed in a hotel opposite so just had to walk across the road each night
Food recommendation from me...has to be the cheesecake factory....even if its just for a look in the display cabinets...but the burgers are pretty good too.
VT....you talk of going to an art class....I love your art x
Good to see the wedding collection pics Rhos...coming together a little now...I bet DD was overcome when you showed her it all in real .
And finally beer thoughts on the john smiths....a little heavier than a lager but not as full bodied as a beer....we got through the bottle being lager drinkers but wouldn't buy it againfrugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Didn't they try to make Friday night prom night at one point?

I think they did. My DS loves the cars. One year he started to chat with some owners. They were well chuffed when he kept asking questions that led to other questions etc.. We were there for ages :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: They thanked him for his interest. When we went back the following years, they always remembered him.
When I first went, I thought that there'd be a dozen or so vehicles. :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: It's amazing that it is free.

Hi cjj....
I think mhoc might be the one to get deals on hotels....she pointed me in the direction of accor hotels when we needed a stay in Manchester...if you sign up to their privilege club you can book reduced rates for the following weekend if you book on a monday or tuesday I believe...that might be worth a look...
I think once you register with them the deal is called happy mondays or something similar...but we were able to get weekend stays in Manchester city centre for around £40 a room
sorry I cant help with a particular recommendation ...stayed in liverpool years ago really cheaply on a deal with moat houses I think ...but the hotel has long since been demolished...shame because it was quite central too.frugal October...£41.82 of £40 food shopping spend for the 2 of us!

Just popped in to send huge hugs Nanna hope you will hear all is good with your dear Sister very soon.
Just face timed my Sister in Oz and there is an Aldi opening up 5 mins drive from her! So will pay it a visit next time I'm down there.:D
Off to Waitrose to stock freezer with some of their 5 for £6. Can recommend their beef burgers even though it's a product I wouldn't normally go for.
Have a good one folks! x0
