(Not a serious suggestion at all!!)
Good idea, but not practical and it would never be accepted by the extremely wealthy (and thus influential) occupants of this island.100 -

Thanks to all I have a number of ribbons that were on 3 for 2, coming all for the pricey sum of 54p. If they honour the orders, they will go into my nieces cutting and sticking box.
I tried about 5 mins ago, and the code wasnt working?“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”

10 Reasons to Leave
1. Freedom to make stronger trade deals with other nations.
2. Freedom to spend UK resources presently through EU membership in the UK to the advantage of our citizens.
3. Freedom to control our national borders.
4. Freedom to restore Britain’s special legal system.
5. Freedom to deregulate the EU’s costly mass of laws.
6. Freedom to make major savings for British consumers.
7. Freedom to improve the British economy and generate more jobs.
8. Freedom to regenerate Britain’s fisheries.
9. Freedom to save the NHS from EU threats to undermine it by harmonising healthcare across the EU, and to reduce welfare payments to non-UK EU citizens.
10. Freedom to restore British customs and traditions.
1. In what way ?
2. Like giving aid to countries with a space program ?
3. What about the British ex-pats ?
4. Which one ?
5. Costly to who ? Which ones ? In a legal dispute more often than not it'd be UK v UK
6. Really ? How so ? Some stuff would be cheaper and some dearer and some the same, no ?
7. In what way are we restricted being in the EU ?
8. Probably, but for how long ? Has the EU rules not seen stocks rise ?
9. The NHS can't be saved. The better it does, the longer people live and the more costly it is. In/out makes no difference. The NHS is gubbed. It's only a matter of time. The referendum changes this how ?
10. You don't Morris dance because of the EU ?0 -

Good points well made.
I have to admit, one of the things that I really struggle with is that we give aid to China... who have horrendous human rights (and I know there are breaches in human rights in UK.. just read Amnesty International), the Chinese gov. subsidise their steel industry (understandably), and then OUR government allows this to be imported which has a devastating impact on our own steel industry... then we enter into a very complex PI with the Chinese (and French) for them to build our nuclear power station!
Good point with the NHS. I do think that for the NHS to survive, we need to accept that life should not be sustained at all costs. Before I am shot down, I witnessed my own father die over a 30 year period... even then we had to fight for him to be allowed to die with dignity.
Right I am going to bed.
