I don't live alone but currently not working so I'm by myself all day. I wouldn't feel comfortable going over there to either pop something through their door or to speak to them.
Then post a letter addressed to The Occupier with bin info; perhaps with a typed covering note from "X Area Residents Association" or somesuch to make it sound vaguely official. It doesn't have to be aggressive in tone eg welcome to the area; attached are details about local facilities you may find useful....They are an EYESORES!!!!0 -
Update:
I called Environmental Health mid morning today & explained the situation. They told me they have a 10 working day turnaround and they would start a case today.
When my SIL came to ours around 4.30 this afternoon, he mentioned the lack of rubbish (he'd noticed it too) I looked over the road to see it had all gone!
I don't think for one minute the council had cleared it so soon but wonder if the landlord saw it and arranged for it to be taken away, I'm sure its a co-incidence.
Anyway, let's hope it doesn't happen again and thanks for the advice ��0
