My husband has contacted them and they said his has been randomly selected for extra security checks and he should hear off that team dealing with it by 27th may.... not sure exactly what that means but have evidence of everything so have no worries if they need proof!0

See this is what I don't like about dealing with HMRC.. They don't communicate. You have to contact them to find anything out. I don't understand that. It's so frustrating. Everyone seems to have been told different dates as well which makes no sense. :undecided:0

just spoke to an advisor after following the advice of a forum member I rechecked the submitted return and saw the figures were incorrect amended and resubmitted advisor stated would hear by the 11/05 I asked if due to the incorrect figures if the payment had been stopped advisor then admitted this was correct. I don't understand why they couldn't have told me this 2 weeks ago and the amendment could have been a lot sooner. If people are still at pending its worth asking the advisor outright if the payment has been stopped.0

Just sat through a rechecked it again & have found the error
We had clicked exempt from class 4 NI when he actually isn't exempt. Have gone to amend and resubmit but won't allow me to and comes up with system error message. Anyone know what i can do0 -
Also submitted on 8th April.
Still says repayment pending.
Called HMRC who said wait until 11th May due to security checks.
Asked them what checks were being done and she then said there is a problem with the online SA tax form rather than the information I wrote on it. But couldn't tell me what the problem was!!!!
Rechecked the tax return and found a glaring error.... which I presume is on everyone's tax return that hasn't yet received a repayment...
If you go to view your return or download as a PDF and scroll right to the end with the page that says Tax Calculation Summary.... look at the years printed on the form!!!!
I won't mention what the error is - want to see if anyone else picks it up.
It appears HMRC haven't really checked this form properly before allowing people to submit online returns, but it results in the refund due being allocated to the wrong tax year.0 -
is that where it says balancing credit as of jan 31 2017 ? which is before the end of the tax year.0

Mines not pending as of this morning. Says repayment issued now. Did mine on the 6th!!!0

VictorVictoria mine has the correct tax year and is still pending (submitted 6th)
However made an amendment last night due to NI.
Hydey glad you have received yours, hopefully won't be too long for rest of us0 -
Turnover on mine was wrong so maybe that's what was holding it up. Have amended & resubmitted so hopefully now we'll get somewhere.0
