its normally issued around 18 to 20th April so it wont be before then! be patient,  if theyve not updated by 22nd to issed then i guess extra security checks.

Going from what my other years have been and the way Easter landed this year I wouldn’t expect an update until at least the 21st 

What makes you say 21st? I mean I don’t mind waiting just could do with the money lol

By going on the last few years, it’s always been issued around the 18th/19th but because the bank holiday was in the middle it may take a couple of days longer

Just spoke to HMRC and the advisor said if it hasn't been received by next Monday, to contact them so they can raise an investigation (I take this with a massive bucket of salt though because that would only be 8 actual working days, as we have had two bank holidays between 6th April and Monday's date of the 20th April - in normal circumstances the 10th working day would be the Monday, but because of the Easter weekend, it's only 8 working days from the 6th, if we don't include the 6th of April). This leads me to believe that they do just say anything to end the conversation...

I’ve read somewhere that it takes 72 hours to process the return and then 5 days to issue the refund. Going back on my previous returns this has been correct (working days & taking away bank holidays) once issued it goes into your account the next day providing who you bank with. Also majority of the times baring once or twice, they have been issued on a Wednesday or Friday so fingers crossed that it will get issued Friday and in bank on Monday but what we mustn’t forget is the situation we are facing at the minute which could bring on further delay

So call me thick but if I submitted 28th March & requested payment 1st April & it goes from when you request payment how many working days have I been waiting? Thanks

Have you not heard anything yet? I’m just going off submitting on the 6th. I’ve never submitted late so I don’t know what the process is. Have you tried calling them?

Mine for issued on the 18th the past 2 years and 20th the year before it will be issued soon enough no point ringing them as they will just fob you off

No I’ve not heard anything yet, I’ll give it till around end of this week I guess then give them a call ..
