'Claiming' BT Rewards

Just after some info...

I signed up for BT Infinity in Jan, based on a £100 + £40 next card offer via uSwitch

I hadn't heard anything since, so asked BT on twitter, who say I have to claim it via another site.

I've duly done so (although the £40 is missing - grr!), but BT are adamant it's made very clear the process for claiming. I've checked all 18 emails I've had since I signed up, and even been through the ordering process from scratch (as far as I could), but there's no mention of this.

Have I genuinely missed something obvious, or are BT intentionally obfuscating the process for claiming?

I personally think BT have THE WORST customer service of any provider in the UK
After i had placed an order for a business line connection, i have personally had so many delays with my order !
Now they are asking me to pay an upfront deposit of £200.00 before they can connect my line .
Has any one else had bad customer service with BT as it would be great to get their response so please Reply to me right here.

    Regards.

    Dev.

  • Sorry to hear about your experience with BT. I too have had very poor service re: receiving a reward.

My complaint is about them honouring their promise to send love2shop vouchers in relation to a broadband deal i purchased through MSE in January. I got the mastercard loaded with £75 ok but for the love2shop voucher I have had to make two formal complaints. With the first complaint at the beginning of march I was told I would have to wait a month. I have just complained again and told I would have to wait another five days for them to investigate. It would appear they rely on apathy to get away with not having to pay out. Again not the service you are entitled to expect and does'nt encourage me to stay with them when the minimum contract ends. .

Thanks for the link scrounger. I notice it doesn't include the MasterCard preloaded card in the list, anyone have that link available?

Ignore that - I clicked on the Visa prepay link and the details say MasterCard.

I've had an horrendous time switching to BT. Never had a problem switching before. Now I am told I am not eligible for a reward. Will contact them again but I am leaving them ASAP. The only reason I went with them in the first place was because they were offering £100. Even that doesn't seem like compensation for not having an internet connection for 3 weeks, being constantly lied to on the phone and not having my complaint dealt with properly.
  • I have had a similar experience. I have emailed the CEO gavin.e.patterson@bt.com and asked for a cheque for the money owed and would suggest that you do the same.
