    Morning all,

Candlelight and Gers thinking of you both and many thanks for your kind words and thoughts in my own situation.

As things stand with me. We have a date for Mom's funeral it's the 20th April. Despite me giving my brother my phone number my neice chose to share the details with my daughter on Facebook. Jesus wept! There was no 'tell your Mom' or anything. I am supposing I don't need an invite.

Youngest has not been coping well at work. He's coming home tonight. Of course hubby is blaming me for allowing him to see his Nans dead body. It was his choice. I even stopped him coming in but he wanted to but it's my fault...apparently.

I want to go home but hubby doesn't. If I insist that will be one more thing he'll blame my Mom for... Ruining his holiday.

I am hoping Mom changed her will so that I'm not the executor any more. I have none of her paperwork. No account details or anything.

    Bahh!

    Onwards and forwards

    Have a great day all

    Afternoon everyone

Candlelight I'm sorry to hear of OH but pleased to hear he is getting the treatment he needs.

Hugs to you Gers, its at times like these we need our own homes to curl up in.

Well I've made it to DS2s here in The Hague, the weather is quite pleasant and not raining! I was sat next to 2 lads on the plane, one of who has never been on a plane before (he is 24) and boy was he excited. I had the window seat and swapped with him for landing so he had a better view, he was ecstatic! Anyway, showed them to the station, helped them buy a ticket and waved them on their way. The new flyer said he was sorry I couldn't go any further, heaven help them when they get to Amsterdam, they didn't even know that the cars were on the other side of the road!

Anyway, I'm off for a walk till DS gets back from work. Apologies for any mistakes, not used to this tablet. Hugs to all. Take care. Xx

Hello all - A lot of posts today so apologies if I miss anything .
Candlelight Your husband is in the best place possible for him . I really hope things go well and I hope you will try and rest yourself . At these times we are on constant alert so I hope this respite will give you some time to recoup your own strength x
Gers The way you feel at the moment is natural . You have been running on adrenalin (spelt wrongly but my heads a bit fuddled at the moment ) From hearing the news , sorting things for your mum and a massive journey to the other side of the world you have had to face the reality of his loss while supporting others in their grieving . I think you have coped beyond belief . Now you are beginning to feel the impact and the exhaustion and I would rest as you feel and not try to do too much . x
Judi I wish I could give you a real hug . Please try to shut out any negativity - it's hard to do so . You need to try to do what feels right to you and let the rest stop intruding on your wellbeing x
Thanks NMLC Hope today is easier .
Back in a bit - some phone calls to make .
    Polly
It is better to light a single candle than to curse the darkness.

There but for fortune go you and I.
  • Afternoon ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Candlelight I am glad that your husband was admitted and they have started to drain off the fluid, he will feel a lot better without it.

Judi, like me you cannot do right for doing wrong, join the gang.

Mr & Mrs TA hope the blood tests are ok.

Another load of laundry out blowing in the breeze, just light colourds and a few white bits.

OH has finished planting his spuds, spent most of the morning in the garden apart from getting his feet done when the chiropodist came at coffee time.

I have prepped the supper. Last night I decided to use the second ball of wool to extend the scarf I knitted, so had to undo the cast off row, took me ages but its now growing again.

I also need to trim the blocks for the quilt make sure they are all the same size and the seams are ok when sewn to the cream squares. It will take me a while, its a job I hate doing, but it must be done.

    Hi all,

Special hugs for Judi, GERS, Dumpling and of course Mr Candlelight X

Dumpling, I hope you channel your inner Dale Winton and do your supermarket sweep act - you,ve been doing so well, and you can 'hear' the confidence in your posts when you,ve achieved xx

I think I,m going to trade in hubby for the summer, I think his hay fever has kicked in as he was snorting and whilstleing like a worthog last night, I feel like I got 2 minutes sleep - he never usually snores except for bad hayfever- I,ll try to dose him up before I finalise the eBay ad ;)

Dinner was to be mushroom risotto tonight, but DS pulled a face, so I will use the frozen bolognaise sauce, some cheese sauce and make a pasta bake instead - risotto pushed to tomorrow when DS is working :)

I want to make DS a birthday cake for his 18th Friday, bad am running out of time, due to prior commitments,I may have to do it Friday morning, I,m sure he will head back to bed after the prezzie bit :rotfl::rotfl:

Anyhow I'm waffling now- have a fab day all x

Candlelight (((HUGS))) I don't know what 4 kilos is in English, but it sounds like a lot! Hang in there sweetie; it sounds like they're looking after him in the horse-piddle. Glad you were able to speak to him direct.

Judi as I understand it your "youngest" is a grown man? How can it be "your fault" if he insisted he wanted to go in to see his Nan? (((HUGS))) - 20th April will soon come around; hopefully you'll be able to climb down off the ceiling a bit after that.

Dumpling I hope you managed your "outing" without too much problem. I have to admit, if someone insisted on me going out, "for my own good" I'd be very likely to dig my heels in and refuse - but I'm an ornery wotnot at the best of times! This is part of the reason I just keep taking the meds, and don't do the "human intervention" stuff .

Gers (((HUGS))) I can't begin to imagine how it's been for you, sweetie.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Good afternoon everyone,

    Hugs to everyone.

Candlelight, good news about Mr Candlelight, I do hope the improvement continues and his treatment will progress well for you both. Take care of yourself.

Big hugs to Judi and Gers, its so emotionally draining when you lose a loved one and it feels so hard to keep going. My thoughts are with you both.

Camelot, I hope you have a lovely time with your DS.

Well I'm feeling a bit better today, I slept better last night.

On my own at home at the moment, I went to Maidstone earlier and have booked a hair appointment for myself and DD for Friday, as its so long since we have had our hair cut:eek:

I have some washing blowing on the line, so will fetch that in
shortly and put some more in the wm.

Just going to have a tidy up and carry on browsing the interweb.

Don't know what to make for dinner as DS asked if his GF could come over this evening, so I said yes, and I would cook dinner, then he changes his mind and say he thinks GF wants to cook him dinner. So that means I will cook for me and DH and then they come in and make more mess!! Why???

Have a good afternoon everyone x.

    Candlelight

I am so glad some of the fluid is going and I hope DH will soon be more comfortable and have the problem sorted out.

    TA

Hope everything goes well with the blood tests.

    Gers

The time difference and sudden change of season will be adding to the stress so don't push yourself too hard.

Builder came to discuss what else I wanted done so discussed re doing two bathrooms and a new kitchen as well as painting the bedroom and living room. I have tester pots colours on two walls and will have to decide soon as painters might be here next week.

    Hugs to all
