If your state pension / pension credit was credited to your bank account today - was it at the new April 2016 - 17 rate or your old April 2015 - 16 rate?

mine was still at the old rate0

I'm not sure about pensions, but most benefits are paid in arrears so any change doesn't show until two (or four, depending on the benefit) weeks after it came in.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0

Old rate. Not expecting new rate for a while0

i didn't think new rates apply until 6th april anyway ( beginning of the new financial year) then paid in arrears0
-
New uprating applies from 11th April this year 0

Benefits are paid in arrears so the uprate will not be paid for a few weeks0
-
Yes it normally takes until May until they are all settled down at the new rates as they are paid in arrears0

Wording of the letter is poor. Nothing new there I'm afraid. More accurately it should have said "the state pension increase is payable from..."0 -
Sorry I meant as I receive my state pension each Monday ( paid on weekly basis ) The letter confirmed Monday 11th April as my first payment date at the new rate .
