Was renamed HMPO back in 2013, so I'm assuming the other passports are pre-2013?

Same here, granddaughters first passport application sent through the check and send service tuesday last week and passport received yesterday so all done and dusted in 3 working days....

I think the 'crash' they had a couple years ago really made them employ some staff.

7 days from them chopping up my passport by mistake when I applied for baby's passport to them delivering a brand new one to me in the post! In between was a bit of complaining, form filling and posting off!

Excuse for chopping up passport: "Person doing the passport application was in 'passport chopping' frame of mind and chopped yours up by mistake.." Funny.. good I didn't have any live visas in there.

They were pretty good at sorting out their mistake.. And I got another 4 years on my passport for free

They lost my old passport nice and quickly. Then sent a letter telling me I had failed to send it to them; I replied and corrected them on this point. They then sent another letter warning me about losing my passport, then failed to add on the remaining months of my old passport onto my new passport. But yes I was impressed by the speed of their incompetence.
