A good howl at the unfairness of life sometimes helps honey Try to concentrate on the good memories if you can its still such early days We are all thinking of you on this side of the world and I'm sure we are all sending you and yours 'virtual hugs'

Just got back from the orthodontist with a very happy grandson,he had his braces taken off this afternoon after two years, and will only have to wear a 'retainer' overnight for 11 months so his newly realligned teeth will 'set'. he is smiling like Tom Cruise at the moment. Lovely to see as he has been so self-conscious about them.He is a smashing lad, but a bit on the shy side and blushes easily. well lads do at 14 don't they :)

Sun is out a bit more this afternoon and I nipped in before coming here to my house and my small line of washing is dry :) result really as I'm trying to keep the washing down a bit as I'm away next week for a weeks holiday.

Islandmaid well done on your boy getting his seasonal job on the ferry if its Red Funnel I will be on it in August with DD, four boys, son-in-law and two dogs :):):) 19 weeks this friday 9 not that we are counting or anything :):):)

Gers... Big hugs to you and all your family after such an emotional day. At times it is so difficult to accept what has happened, it is at the moment the coffin disappears that it hits home that you will never see them again, that was the moment my remaining children had to accept that their beloved younger brother had gone and they would never see him again. That was the moment that it hit me too, seeing my children and grandchildren in bits reduced me to tears. Until then I had managed to hold it together. It is not a weakness to cry. It is a safety valve. As others have said remember the good times you have had, you will never forget, but as time goes by the hurt gets less.

    Evening everyone

Back from visiting family. Had a lovely time enjoying cuddles with both dgs, played lots with older dgs, had him copying my silly moves - such fun.

Os today washing done, hung outside was almost dry when I brought it in so now draped over Airer. Kitchen cleaned. Suitcase emptied. Took ds2 to gp to complete medical forms for Army. Fingers crossed they go through ok.

Gers & judi sending lots of (((hugs))) to you both.
Candlelight - hope your dh gets the tight treatment soon.
Redruby - hope your back pain eases.
HH - hope you sorted out SS, how dare they question you like that, disgusting treatment.

Good luck to the people with interviews(sorry mind gone blank)

Hugs to anyone that needs/wants one. Take care.

Thinking of you Gers and also your Mum back home . Csarina put it very well when talking of the safety valve of tears . You will always mourn the loss but the memories of the years will come back for you to treasure . Travelling such a distance to honour his passing and comfort the family is a great act of love . x
Topsy Turphey Fingers crossed that all goes well for your son .
Hope Elonas daughter and Speky have a good result from their interviews .
Really tiring day so it's the wooden hill to Bedfordshire for me .
Hope you all sleep well . See you tomorrow .
