Morning......((((((((((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))))) if you need one. Thoughts with Gers, Judi and Mr & Mrs Candlelight. Hester I hope you are feeling a bit better. I an sure that Saturday was a result of the stress and that awful woman trying to dictate to you what you should and should not do. I am still angry about it. Totally un necessary.
Monday clean to do and a pot of soup to make, DD2 is coming over this morning. DGD has started a new job. She was made redundant by the council after being there foe 2 years.
OH will have to garden inside today, its raining, thank heaven I washed the bed linen yesterday. He needs to pot on some seedlings.
Busy day yesterday, enjoyed our time with my quilting friend as usual.0 -
Morning All
It's raining and has been all weekend, washing on the airer (one of them broke last night, hope I don't have to use the TD). DW emptied and yesterday's washing folded. Cleaned the glass in the stove but will wait until it has cooled a little before I take the ash out. I've been using a handful of coal (mainly to use it up) before I go to bed and it stays fairly warm.
I have to go and take library books back, pay in a cheque and get some cheese to take to DS2. I'll walk down as it takes nearly as long to go in the car and I'll still be wet.
Happy Monday, my thoughts are with those with a lot on their minds. Take care. XX0 -
Well at DDs and just made the boys bacon sarnies They are going to get stuck into some tidying up of the garden so a treat of a MaccyD's is in the pipeline
The sun is struggling to come out and I put a very small wash on the line before I left home this morning, fingers crossed it will get a bit of a blow today.
Well done on finding you ring TA I bet you can't believe it.
I am intrigued by this blood sugar diet I've not heard of it before,I shall have to investigate it:):)So far just by eating sensibly and portion control I have lost just over a stone since Christmas, but I am looking to lose a bit more before my Race for Life in July.
DDs company is not only giving us a donation they are supplying us with T-shirts.Our team will be the Greyfoxy ladies as I am grey and she is ...foxyher company is called Grey Fox so its a two way thing

Popped back on to wish Speky good wishes and good luck for the interview!
The DGDs are currently engrossed in Paw Patrol (their new favourite programme!) and have requested Spag Bol for lunch. Easily sorted as I have quite a few individual portions frozen! That will near on clear me out and will need to make more. I shall be good and stick to a BSD suggestion! After lunch a game of Monopoly is on the agenda!
Have a nice afternoon if you can xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0 -
Good luck to speky for the interview.
Thoughts and positive vibes to Gers, judi and mr and mrs candlelight.
Having a lazy morning with lots of hot drinks for my throat as we got a lot done yesterday. Family moved a big recliner for me to living room, emptied five boxes of china and glasses and put together the welsh dresser so I can put the washed up things away.
They approved of the new fire and lighting and we tried out a few tester pots of paint.
Just had a phone call from youngest who is very nervous as she has a second interview in ten minutes and really wants the job. Crossing fingers and toes and everything I can think of for her.
I have some beef and gravy from yesterday in the fridge so will make some mashed potato later to go with it. Gave middle dd about four home cooked frozen meals to take home.
Builder is coming round tomorrow to discuss plans for the rest of the work I want doing so will have to get my mind in gear.

Good afternoon everyone,
Well I haven't posted since last week, and I am shocked to have missed so much.
My thoughts and prayers go out to Gers, Judi, Hester and Mr & Mrs Candlelight. Such hard things to bear, and sending you all healing and strong vibes to help you cope with your individual sadness and giving you strength to come through the hard times for more happier times.
I am now officially on easter holidays for 2 weeks:j but unfortunately DS has passed on his cold and cough to me, so I am suffering at the moment. DH is sleeping in the spare room, so I don't keep him awake with my coughing:D.
DD has gone off to Bromley, until tomorrow to see some friends and DS and DH are both at work, so I am just having some lunch and a browse on here.
I have the ironing up to date, but won't do any washing today. The house is quite clean, but I want to finish cleaning out the kitchen cupboards, which I started last week, so will do that shortly.
Not sure what to make for dinner, maybe something with fish.
Good luck to Speky and elona's DD with their job interviews.
Have a good afternoon everyoneSPC 11 #4450 -

Hi all,
Good luck with the interviewsMy youngest was told yesterday that he was successful at his last week, and starts a seasonal job with local ferry company, this should mean he will be employed when not at Uni - fingers crossed
On the other hand my eldest has been told he and about 20 others are to be made redundant- he's a boat builder, so this does happen quiet a lot in that trade - hopefully he,ll be taken in by another company soon
My first day back at work, and OMG it was a hard slog, but at least it's a job. I appear to be overrun with washing, I,m sure it breeds overnight....
Oh well, off to get through some chores, got to air DDs bedroom and make up her bed at some point, she's back in 2 weeks, can't believe how fast the time has flown.

Hello everyone.
I've just climbed into my bed here, it's almost 2am, after a very fraught and emotional day. It was all so much more difficult than I ever imagined as Alisdair's three brothers just fell to pieces which in turn made me worse. However, with a packet of tissues and a load of hugs we all got through it and are now gathering our strength for the rest of the week.
Coming on here and reading your caring comments has set me off again, everyone's been so kind. Thanks to you all.0 -
